So DH and I both stepped on the scale after a bit of a hiatus. I gained 4 lbs, which is too much for me. DH would not share, but he was almost in a panic about his weight. So... salads all week.
Las night I grilled steak and made a mixed salad.
Tonight it was grilled chicken and salad
The rest of the week will be salad and some protein: chicken breast, turkey tenderloins, shrimp, black bean burgers.
I didn't plan anything this week. I just bought the regular groceries. I feel less inspired to make adult meals when DH travels for work which is every week again.

M - sloppy joe chicken, baked potato, and veggies. DH threw zucchini, corn, red peppers and tomatoes in the skillet and it was a delicious combo. Here is the sloppy joe chicken for my crock pot lovers. I didn't use dates and used all chicken thighs. therealfoodrds.com/slow-cooker-chicken-sloppy-joe-sliders/ T - philly cheesesteak pizza on 2 ingredient dough. I'm still obsessed. W - I don't remember what I have written down. Th - pulled pork, sweet potatoes and roasted broccoli F - DH works and DS and I will eat more pizza
Why is Spring Break one of the hardest weeks ever??
Sunday night I made shrimp tacos and zucchini Last night ended up eating at Salata Today - baked chicken, asparagus, broccoli Wednesday - HH/swim party and i won’t get to the store so .... taking spaghetti and meatballs for the kids Thursday - all beef hotdogs (sleepover - Muslim and Jewish kids can eat all beef??) I may change this to pizza. Still not sure who all is sleeping here.
This thread is useful - I am flipping Tuesday and Thursday because - chicken is universal right?
If you don't have a problem with dairy I'd just sub regular ricotta. I sometimes just top DH and the kid's with regular mozzarella cheese instead of the ricotta and they like it that way too. Also, I usually pre-cook the lentils and then throw everything into the crock pot together because it works better timing wise for me instead of the way the instructions are written.
186momx, This looks amazing. It needs to go in my dinner rotation, particularly as my 6 year old is still on a vegetarian kick.
Monday - potato soup Tuesday - Crock pot beef stew, left over soup for DS Wednesday - Pi part at a friend's house (need to get a pie tonight) Thursday - Freezer chili bake, and something for DS Friday - Leftover freezer chili bake, unless I convince DH to go to a fish fry
2chatter, my Muslim friend told me that he basically follows a kosher diet. When eating out, he stuck to vegetarian, maybe fish now and then, because he wasn't sure how everything was prepared. Pizza without meat might be the way to go.
