Win: I slept AWESOME last night and woke up feeling great. We also decided where to go for a quick honeymoon trip and we are meeting with a photographer tonight.
Whines: It's snowing here. Blech. And, the caterer that we REALLY wanted is booked for our date This is stupid, but I'm not sure how to go about getting another. The one we wanted has a restaurant that we've eaten at several times. I spoke to one lady last night that I really liked but she wants $150 for a tasting dinner! If they are all like this, it's gonna add up if we want to taste all the food before we hire someone. And, our big requisites are good food and wine so I'm not comfortable hiring someone "blind".
Win/Whine: It's hump day...I can see the weekend from here!/but I have no plans at all so that's lame
Win/Whine: It's Pi Day and eating pie is recommended/but I'm low carb/low sugar so pie isn't really on my radar.
Whine/Win: DS has been a butthead the last few days. Kid is really trying my patience./XH has actually been stepping up (well more than usual) and is on the same page with me, which is nice.
Win/Whine: I had a drink with a coworker, last night, and it was really fun to chat with her/I had one drink and was feeling buzzed so apparently I'm a lightweight now.

bullygirl979, does the vendor you're interested in ever do wedding shows or any group tastings that might be cheaper?
Win: I made Irish coffee pie (chocolate coffee Jameson pie with Baileys whipped cream), bourbon pecan pie, and blueberry pie to bring in to work today.
Whine: I'm exhausted, since I was up late making said pies.
Win/Whine: I'm teaching big sorority parties tonight and tomorrow night at the studio. It will be nice to have the income, but these groups are frequently annoying...they frequently spend more time taking selfies and talking than actually paying attention, they sometimes show up drunk (major safety hazard), and I almost always have to tell at least one show-off to stop climbing the pole or going upside down or whatever other ridiculous thing they're trying that I haven't taught because, safety. I'm going to try to go in with the attitude that they're just looking to have fun, not necessarily to actually learn anything, and adjust my normal teaching style accordingly.

udscoobychick, the wedding shows I've ever been to don't have food at them. She didn't say anything about group tastings but I can always inquire. I do feel a bit better as I emailed a wedding planner that cuddlyevil recommended. I didn't hire her as my party/budget was too low and it wouldn't have been cost effective. She did say I could email her with questions so I just asked if she had anyone she'd recommend. She listed the one I like plus two others so that makes me feel a bit better about possibly forking over $150.
And LOL. I'm sorry. I hope tonight's group isn't that bad.

bullygirl979, use it as a belated V'day celebration or an anniversary/birthday/something celebration to justify the cost of the tasting? But it's good that the planner recommended them!

udscoobychick, oh definitely. I mean, don't get me wrong...I'll pay the money. I just want to narrow it down so I'm not paying tasting fees for 8 caterers. Lol. The food is really important to us so I'd rather pay it than be unpleasantly surprised.
Dad has been in hospital since end of jan....he was home a whole week and now hes been back in for 2 weeks again... i'm exhausted mentally and physically.
I quit the bridal shop and have tons of free time to spend with him.
No, the washer and dryer were mine. My possessions aren't covered by his policy or claim, my insurance didn't offer me a backflow rider on my renters insurance so they won't cover it. I may be buying used or scratch and dent thanks to my tax refund.
a win and a whine: I had to take Sissy girl to the vet yesterday as I suspected she had a UTI. It turns out I was right. So now I have to give her a pill and a syringe of liquid medicine twice a day for 14 days. Yeah, trying to get a pill down a cats throat is not a fun thing.
BUT the good news is her kidney levels have not increased at all. She was diagnose with stage 1 kidney failure last year. That was like 2 months after I lost her brother. Of course I thought the worst but her levels have not increased in almost a year so that is wonderful news.
oh and another win for me is I signed up from Weight Watchers like 2 weeks ago. I tracked my regular food for like 3 days and saw how horrible I actually eat. I then "officially" started last Thursday with my first meeting. I just stepped on the scale and am already down 5 pounds. WOOOOOO HOOOOO to me!
Win/whine: Internet and phones are out at my work today. This means there's a lot that we can't do today. It also means less pressure to get things done.
I have a date tonight, a guy I met at a housewarming party on Saturday. We'll see how it goes.
Win: I was at Target last night and saw a new NYX lip oil. I got it and I love it so far! It doesn't give much coverage, but it's hydrating, pretty, and reminds me scent-wise of a L'Oreal lip gloss I used to have in the 90s.

That was me in January I started tracking my food and eating cleaner. I'm down 12.6lbs, 3 inches from my chest, waist and hips. My H is also eating healthy is down 20! it feels really good.

mags, haha. Yeah...we've changed our minds just a bit P said that he thought he'd regret not celebrating with people. So, we decided to "elope" for the ceremony however we haven't decided where. We will either do JOP here or in Lake Placid. We slashed the guest list by 2/3 (much to my mother's chagrin) and it's now down to less than 30 people. We are doing siblings (and spouses), parents and a few super close friends. This is MUCH more what we wanted. We booked this super small art gallery and will be doing a cocktail party/dinner. Still no DJ, cake smashing, etc. etc. And we won't be getting married on that day, but at least we will be celebrating with family and friends!
I like this place as the guys are super chill. There only "rule" was that we couldn't ruin the artwork, haha. And we can BYOB, which I love.
It was smaller than expected, which was disappointing (I get paid by the person for parties, and this party said they expected 18+ participants, and only 6 showed up!), but they were not drunk, and they were a fun group. I taught another one last night that was big (16 people?), and they were also not drunk, so yay! Both groups had good attitudes and oohed and ahhhed appropriately when I demo'd a couple advanced tricks at the end.

I'm very happy that you changed your minds~ sounds like a great compromise.
