Sweet fancy Moses. Up to this point, I pretty much always had to feed Etta to sleep, but she was rubbing her eyes hardcore and having none of the bottle. She "talked" and tried to roll for about 10 minutes and then passed out. Wine time for mama! (Hubby got Claire to sleep. Divide and conquer.)
Mine goes out on her own pretty easily most nights, but we are still swaddling. Unfortunately "powering through it" as some have suggested only leads to an increasingly cranky baby. I'm just going to swaddle her until college. Wonder if I can make an oversized Miracle Blanket myself?

I was worried about the swaddle, because I was even using it to calm her during the day when she got fussy. Then she rolled like crazy last week so we quit cold turkey. It was like she didn't even notice. Surprised the heck out of me.

Yeah, she's not rolling back to belly yet and I keep yelling at my mom to stop encouraging her to do so before we conquer the swaddle. We were swaddling for all sleep, but we've got naps about 50% deswaddled now. I think the eye rubbing from the clogged tear ducts is making it worse since not only will she eye rub from being tired, but also from the eye irritation, and the rubbing keeps her up and also wakes her up. We were doing all naps unswaddled last week, but she's been getting progressively crankier so we backed off a bit. Oh well. It'll happen when it happens.
***goes back to rocking C for the third time since "bedtime"***
God this is me. I haven't been this tired since she was about a week old. I had two hours of sleep last night and I have put her "down for the night" twice. She's not feeling well

That is great. I used to have to feed H until she was beyond asleep but half the time D starts wiggling and pretty much tells me to put her down.
C does this too, and I THOUGHT that meant "hey mom, put me down - I'm cool on my own", but what it seems to actually mean is "hey mom, don't you dare put me down, but let's see how hard I can squirm and fuss in your arms until I fall asleep." sigh. she'll be up in 2 hours to nurse, too...

We have been realizing that iBaby can do this, too. I have been such a chump sometimes with him.
