Thanks ladies! I put the boys down for their nap, shoveled food in my mouth for lunch, and decided to take a nap myself...literally at the exact moment L decides it’s time to wake up. He’s upstairs screaming. I am beyond over his shitty sleep this week. I haven’t gotten a break all week thanks to his horrible napping.
Family birthday party is over. Apparently one aunt gave the other shit for not bothering to come since we always went to all of their family parties.
Lots of leftovers, and friend playdate tomorrow complete with wine. I think we're going to use her money gifts on a Children's museum membership but not 100% sure.

It’s 8:30 and I am trying to go to bed. My fever is at 101.6 after taking 600 mg Ibuprofen. I was well on my way but L just woke up for the second time. I really really hope they both sleep tonight and we all feel better in the morning.
I hope you feel better very soon, luv2rn4fun! Can you have a rest day today and have your H take care of the boys? I could not function with the sleep schedule you are dealing with. You're a rockstar!
J's third birthday is today and I am all anxious about his party. I don't like hosting things because I'm always worried people are not having fun, or I'm not pacing things correctly to end on time. Also, our daycare provider thinks a bunch of the kids' families are going, but I have no idea since most didn't RSVP. How hard is it to shoot a text saying yes or no?! But he is excited, so I'm happy!
luv2rn4fun feel better! Definitely get your H to take care of the kids so you can rest!
krystee happy birthday J! I get nervous about hosting things too. I'm always afraid I'm not going to realize I'm doing something wrong and people will talk behind my back. But I'm also an extremely anxious person, lol. Hope everything goes well!
krystee- happy birthday to J!! I hope you all have a blast celebrating him today!
I am feeling a little better (which isn’t really saying much...but mainly my fever is gone for now so that’s good). C finally had a good night sleep but L was up all night. I am hoping DH pulls his weight more than he normally does. I am going to try to rest as much as possible but L is a clingy mess and really only wants me (and DH and C just fight constantly).

I decided to do a two nap day with L today. I put him down and DH took C for a walk. I ate some food and had a little coffee before trying to nap too. I was passed out for all of 15 min when a bunch of wind was blowing outside and woke me up. L woke up after a 40 min nap...hoping he goes back to sleep but so far my money is on he won’t.
When did your LOs go down to 1 nap/day? I am pushing to keep 2/day as long as possible, but these last few days A is fighting the second one hard.
We had periods regressions here and there but L was never ready to do only one nap til about 16.5 months old. Baby sleep sites say the average age for transition is 15 months old. Even today (and days like when we go rob disneyland or Easter next week) he will still do 2 naps. He’s 18 months old on Tuesday.

Um DS stuck styrofoam in his ear. I didnt even know he had access to styrofoam (we got a new grill and I thought I had gotten it all into the laundry room to wait til recycling day). I took his temp today because he was being a toad and I saw it. At first I thought it was his tube but I asked him if he stuck sometbing in his ear and he nodded and said sorry. I asked what it was and he said a small rollie ball...and that is when it hit me that he stuck a piece of styrofoam in his ear! We win a trip to the pcp tomorrow.

melsamoony- oh no! I hope the pedi can get the styrofoam out quickly and painlessly.
Still not good. Fever, coughing, sneezing, so much congestion. My asthma is flaring up again (I haven’t had to use my inhalers in years so I actually don’t have any right now...not smart, I know). I can only sleep sitting up so am on the couch. L had another rough day so I didn’t get a lot of rest. We will probably be at the pediatrician tomorrow as well to see if there is anything they can do for him...today he started coughing during his sleep so I want to make sure it’s not his asthma vs cough.
grover- Like suzv daycare did most of the transition for us. They noticed she would fight more when she tired to put her down for the first nap. (Around 12 months) The odd day she still naps twice, like yesterday but we spent a lot of time driving.
