I had lunch with the larper yesterday. The highlight was him telling me he went on a date with someone who shared, mid-date, that she is into men wearing women's clothing. Then she grabbed a package out of her purse, slide it towards him across the table and said "you should go put these on." He said he's "in the mindset to try everything at least once" and went into the bathroom and put on the panties in the package. He said, with a totally straight face, "turns out I'm a size 8 in women's underwear." **insert me laughing hysterically**
Today is my long day at work, since I have both courts. Thankfully, I'm busy all day, so it should fly by. Then it's home to enjoy the kid-free house I have on Thursdays!
I'm up early because I have to be at jury duty by 7:45. I'm planning to walk there because it's only about a mile away and parking is non-existent near the courthouse. Supposedly it's going to rain today, though, so that might not be the best idea. I'll probably do it anyway, unless it's pouring when I leave. Then I can always take a Lyft home if it's raining badly.

I woke up today and seriously thought it was Friday, whomp whomp.
Supposed to be grabbing drinks with someone tonight and trying to be positive about it. She is the type that will complain about other people to me, albeit she tries to make it lighthearted and joking. But it always makes me wonder what she says about me to other people.
doriswe the question is, will you be seeing him again?? These stories are amazing!
I'm not sure that will be happening. He keeps calling these dates "meetings", which cracks me up. He's really not someone I could actually date because I'm looking for something serious and he's not.

doriswe I totally needed a laugh today. Thank you for sharing your tales of your "meetings" with the larper!
I'd love to ditch work and go drink!
I'll share a funny from last night. Hopefully we have some country music fans in here so you'll get this. As I put DD to bed and was walking out of her room she said:
DD - And Mom, one more thing.
Me - What?
DD - Your lips taste like sangria.
LOLOLOLOLOLOL
*Note I wasn't drinking alcohol and my 7 year old DD has no idea what sangria tastes like.
I didn't leave early enough to walk to jury duty. Instead I drove down and will probably get a parking ticket. I'm just accepting this eventuality instead of stressing about it.
ETA: They gave us a 35 minute break, which was JUST BARELY enough time for me to walk to my car, drive home, park, and walk back. So I already got some exercise in for the day! Even better, I didn't have a parking ticket yet. Phew!
Interview went ok...I went to the wrong building by accident, so I was a tad late, but they seemed understanding. The interview was very formulaic, question-and-answer, so I'm somewhat worried that it wasn't more relaxed/conversational. They also pretty much never smiled. Oh well. I think I answered the questions pretty well (one story fell flat, but I think they liked some of my other replies), and I definitely have the experience they're looking for, so we'll see. I apparently won't hear anything for 4-6 weeks, though, so it will be a while.
