Friday, I went to dinner with a friend and then we saw Chicago. It was so good.
Saturday, I had to work and the snowpacalypse was coming. I left work and hit the laundromat, then went home and took a nap. We got barely any snow in my part of town (other parts got 7 inches!). I went to my local for a drink and ended up hanging out for a while. Found out that the beer sorbet I made last weekend has been tried by damn near everyone -- including the rep for the brewery that made the beer I used.
Yesterday was church and general hanging out with the kids.
Ooff...Monday. Most of our snow has melted, which has caused some fun allergy stuff. Minor vertigo and now my throat is hoarse. So I've been drinking lots of tea.
Friday DD and I binged 1/2 of Santa Clarita Diet and finished it Saturday night. My mom took DS and I to see Jumanji on Saturday. Yesterday I went roller skating with my friend and her granddaughters. I'm sore from trying to skate with wiggling kids! But they picked it up pretty fast, which was cool to see.
Ooooof Monday My weekend was good. I did nothing Friday night. I had been in Florida and my flight got home in the afternoon. I intentionally knocked off work early and vegged on the couch catching up on my DVR. Saturday I took a long walk in the morning, ran some errands, and then went to have a late lunch and drinks on a patio with some girlfriends. Sunday I cleaned, did laundry, caught up on some work, and then went over to my friend's house to watch a movie. Laid back but nice and relaxing.
I had a blast horse showing, but I am SO.FREAKING.TIRED. My fitbit hit 32K steps both days with horse showing, and yesterday was so freaking cold. We did awesome. Well, Owen did awesome. I blew our first place lead by taking a slow, easy jumping course rather than letting Owen gallop on like he wanted. I'm still pretty sure I gave us both the right ride for our first time out together (nice and easy, positive experience for us both), but that's clearly not the speedy winning ride we needed if we wanted to come in first. Anyhow, I'll take my fun time and my 6th place ribbon and call it a good weekend.
My lips and neck are SO chapped, though. It was about 26* Sunday morning, and all my rides were done before it hit 30* at 11am. The wind was brutal! I'm reapplying aquaphor and chapstick every few minutes and it's not doing a thing.
The weekend was good. I drove to my parents' house, made my mom's favorite cake, and advocated for her to have the kind of birthday dinner she wanted.
I'm off all this week, so right now I'm relaxing at home with my cats. They've been laying on me and purring and it's been so nice. This afternoon I'm going for a hike with the cop I met forever ago through online dating but am not dating. He's done this hike before so that will be helpful, especially because I didn't want to do it solo.

Happy (?) Monday.
The weekend was good...I was off on Friday, and I spent the day baking cheesecakes to take to a party at my dance studio that night. They were a big hit! I made six different flavors: Oreo, cinnamon caramel, tequila lime, creamsicle, blackberry port, and chocolate espresso. I also had the easiest interview ever on Friday afternoon...I have been talking to a recruiter from this company, so Friday I talked to the project lead, and he basically explained the position to me and said that if they got all the funding they asked for, they'd make me an offer. The phone call was over in about five minutes. It was wild.
Saturday, DH and I went for a flight, and then I played DD for DH and his BFF and took them beer tasting for their birthdays, which was fun. Sunday, I did my usual teaching thing and got the first minute or so of What Does the Fox Say choreographed for our kids' show in June. It helps that I'm using the choreography from the music video for parts of it!
udscoobychick those cheesecakes sound delicious! And the kids routine sounds like a lot of fun too!
I forgot to mention, I put myself back out there on eHarmony. They'd emailed me a deal that was something like $12 for 3 months, so I figured why not take a chance. I'm getting lots of messages already, but from men much further away than I'm interested in. I'm shocked, so far it's a very different experience than my first time on it. We'll see if anything comes of it.
