I'm still not feeling great, and I think C may have what I have. Also, I'm exhausted from having the birthday party this weekend.
Plans for this week: doctor appointments for DH & C (plus shots for C, fun), swim lessons, and then Easter stuff.
We still haven't ironed out our Easter plans. We have two sets going on, one here with my family and one with DH's family. My SIL is supposed to be induced Thursday and DH wants to save our trip up for after the baby is home but if he wants to go this weekend, then we'll go.
Today is C's birthday so we plan to try and take a family picture since we totally forgot to do it at the party.
We are all still sick so we will see what we actually get to do this week.
Today: we had a visit planned with my church mentor from previous city. That was canceled 🙁
Thursday: hoping we are better to go to the mall for Easter pictures, play, and take the boys to Ruby’s for lunch.
Friday: supposed to go down to SD and go to the zoo. Hopefully we can do that- we haven’t been in awhile and our passes expire soon so not sure when we will be able to go again (planning to renew but probably not right away). My friend that just visited last week lives there locally and might bring her kids so that would be an extra bonus!
Sunday- Easter with extended family at my parents house

Does anyone have an dessert ideas for Easter? Dinner is small, just us and my mom. My SIL and her family are coming over for dessert and probably our 2 fire house “kids” will be over too. So dessert will be 10 people. I know I want to do a carrot cake but not everyone likes it so I need some other ideas.
Nothing special for me this week. I’m on a personal spending freeze. No lunch or dinner dates this week... I do have to go to hobby lobby but I have a gift card, so that’s acceptable haha!
Hubs is gone again, so it’s just me... it’s getting old, and boring/lonely.
I’m going to try and make it to my yoga studio 3x this week! Trying out a new class this evening with my friend. Super pumped! Has anyone ever tried PiYo??? That’s what we are doing tonight.
I’m taking a chill day and having a LOTR marathon all day. It’s stormy outside and a perfect day to mellow on my couch

We're on our way home! We're going to stop at the Leinie Lodge on the way. It's been a good vacation! This is my last full week off work. Boo.
My great aunt (my grandma's twin sister) passed away on Fri morning. It was kind of expected. She had MS so every time we saw her, she was moving around less and more tired. I haven't seen her in years since she lived in PA until my great uncle unexpectedly passed a few years ago and she moved to IL with her daughter. I'm hoping my grandma is doing ok. Their brother also died of MS maybe 20-25 years ago. Plus my grandpa's health has been declining since he was diagnosed with Parkinson's. So I'm sure she's having a hard time
My ILs visited this weekend and left today. Tomorrow I need to return some things to the outlet mall and I'm hoping to try a new restaurant with my mom while there. Wednesday, a Mom from daycare invited us to a fun play place. Thursday, my cousin and her kids invited us to join them at Legoland (the smaller indoor one in the Chicago area), and I don't yet have plans for Friday. I am hoping to do a solo movie this weekend. I want to go see Love, Simon and A Wrinkle In Time.
I am so happy that our rental house got an offer on the first day it was for sale!!! We countered because demand is high (we had six showing requests in the first two hours it was on the market), but we're happy with the original offer and will accept it if they don't accept the counter. I am so excited!!

Had 2 doctor appts this morning, tomorrow I have to make a Target run to get stuff for R's Easter basket, Wed the landlord's realtor & contractor come over (postponed from last week because of snow) and throughout the week we're finalizing a few things with the new house.
This weekend we're going to Baltimore with my family - it's my parents' 40th anniversary and instead of doing something on their own, they wanted the whole family together. So it will be us, them, and my brother/SIL/niece/nephew. Should be fun - we're staying right in the inner harbor and we're going to the Orioles game on Sunday, other plans still TBD.
I reached out to my artist to schedule my next one, and he had a last minute cancel. So, I'm going in as soon as I'm done with work. I was not expecting that to be the plan for today!
travelbug, I'm jealous of the LOTR marathon! Haven't done one of those in way too long.
I already bitched about this on TTTC, so katespade already saw it, but I have had a never ending headache for the last almost 2 weeks. It started with CD1. Last night/ this morning, I'm sure it was a mild migraine. Tylenol is barely helping and I can't take ibuprofen. Cold to the back of my neck and forehead, and caffeine, are all that's helping. I've been treating it as a sinus headache since all the pollen is out now but my sinus/allergy meds aren't helping (and I'm maxed out on what is safe right now for FET and pregnancy). Plus, the pain isn't in my sinuses, it's in a band around my head and behind my eyes.
I told my RE this morning. It could be a side effect of one of the meds but I've taken all of my current meds 5 million times before and never had this. She gave me Tylenol 3 (that helped me sleep, anyway). I also have a call in to my ENT just in case but he won't be in town until Wednesday.
pooh8402 - Headaches are seriously so awful, especially when you can't take anything for them! I'm like you - my only pain med option is Tylenol. I hope your acupuncturist is able to help at your appointment tomorrow, and you're able to get some relief soon!
I'm exhausted today. We got home from vacation yesterday. My body doesn't like me right now because we ate way too much fast food. I'm looking forward to getting groceries to hopefully feel better. Now I have to tackle the laundry and try to get my house back in some sort of shape.
We have Easter activities with both sides of the family this weekend. I still need to go to Target to get a few things for the baskets.

Not many plans during the week buy we are going to my IL's Saturday and my parents on Sunday. Everyone is local (within a 45 minute drive) so we can easily see both families for holidays which is nice.
H took the car in to find out why the same lights keep coming on. They said they think the sensor is faulty so we should replace it again, and if that doesn't work out could be the exhaust manifold. FX it's just the sensor and it stays off after replacing that again! Also since H is over on that side of town, he's bringing me Tim Hortons Ours just opened and we haven't been there yet!

Uhhh cheese is pretty stable right? Realized just now that the cheese we bought yesterday morning was still in the cooler. H says it still feels slightly cold. It was some mild cheddar cheese covered in wax (it's shaped like a cow, E wanted it), some buffalo flavored cheese, and cheese curds. It's still good right?? Ugh.
H got the job offer!!! He interviewed two weeks ago, they said they'd let them all know last week, but he didn't hear anything and had pretty much given up when they called today! I told him most places take longer than they think!
I am making brownies but only because cake is already being made. Otherwise I would probably do something like cupcakes topped with some kind of Easter egg candy

My mom is having a laser eye procedure today. We’ve been here since 10am, doctor just got here at 12:30. Mom is number 6 on the list. The poor lady who was first got here at 9 and just went back. I’m sorry but if your going to be over 3 hours late, let your patients know so they don’t have to sit for hours. The poor staff here weren’t notified either. All they could do is say “I don’t know what’s going on” We still have an hour drive home after it’s done.

luv2rn4fun those mini cheesecakes looks awesome! I’m printing out the recipe as we speak! Thank you!
I think we decided on cheesecake cups thanks to luv2rn4fun, coconut magic pie, carrot cake and rice crispy treats. It feels weird being more worried about dessert then dinner. Since we didn’t know what was going on we were too late asking people over for dinner but dessert is more fun anyways!

Glad to help!
So, since you mentioned rice crispy treats...I saw these as well...
estrellita The cheese should be fine. It may mold more quickly, but if you use it quick I can't imagine any problems. Most cheese stores don't refrigerate any of their products too long.
wineandcheese Those deserts sound great. Coconut magic pie is so delicious.
grover Congrats to your husband! Will it reduce his commute? Happy for you guys
pooh8402 Is your head any better? Chronic headaches are the worst. Hoping they clear up soon.
I need to sit down and get serious about looking at our fiances and making a budget. I went overboard paying bills ahead and forgot about my amazon s&s still hitting the account. It's a good thing that my bank transfers money from savings to checking without a fee if you overdraft because I would have been out $$ from overdraft fees. Oops.
amaranth, no reduction in commute, but can take a slightly later train in to work, and the same train home, for more money. He'll still probably keep an eye open for something a little more local though.
