That is absolutely adorable, @daylily !! Thinking of you, and I hope today goes smoothly!
icedcoffee , I've already warned DH that if anything like that happens the first few weeks at the new job it's his problem lol. I think I'm actually going to tell daycare that he's the one to contact first going forward (at least for a while). Why am I always the one to get the call? C has 2 parents!
I hope everything is going well at the new gig!
Yep---I told DH he can do whatever he needs to including having my parents come down, but that I can't help for a few months. Good luck, H!
scm1011, for the entire time that S has been in daycare so far I had to be "the person" for everything due to G's crazy work schedule. I was called or emailed about all issues, I did all pickups and drop offs, I had to leave to bring him home if he was sick or go to appointments, etc. I missed SO much work.
G knows that from now until the next ski season he is 100% in charge. He does 100% of drop offs and 50% of pickups. He will do all sick days and appointments, etc. THANK GOD. lol.

YES!! That's only fair. Hopefully its a moot point for all of us. With spring coming, I'm crossing my fingers the sick days will slow down!
shauni27, so the season is over? I know you mentioned you leave for FL soon. 😄 Key West or elsewhere? I was feeling really guilty that H got ‘the call’ the last few times, because I was in meetings and didn’t see them come in, but damn it, he can WFH easily, and I can’t. I still have the burden of being the default parent who schedules every single appointment, makes sure DS has toothpaste, etc.

The coolest thing happened this morning! We were lounging in bed (on vacation), and DS was asking where the baby’s head was, because I’ve joked with him so much about his head being stuck in my ribs. He says a shy “hi” to my belly, and suddenly the baby moved all to the left, so my stomach was lopsided. ❤️

Mushe, that is so sweet! The season is officially over though G has an event on Saturday that he is running until we leave at 4 lol. And we are going farther north than we have ever been this time (friend gave us their condo for the week so we could not turn that down!) and are up in Cocoa Beach. For a free place I feel like we will enjoy it It is right on the beach!
turboteal, I used to envy people who just had a bit of exhaustion and not much else in first tri (I spent most of 1st and 2nd with my head in the toilet), but now I think it's just as difficult as what I suffered because you're constantly anxious due to of lack of symptoms. Hang in there! I'm glad you're getting a scan next week to reassure you.

So the scan went pretty well. I got up at 2:30am to give her a bottle, and we got her up around 7:45. She had two bottles of pedialyte (warmed up , of course) and took a short nap before we left for the hospital. She got oral sedation, fought it a bit but was asleep pretty quickly, and the scan was super quick. She's basically been napping or eating since we got home.
We looked at the images and I'm very worried. We can't see the sagittal suture at all. We meet with the doctor on Tuesday.
thoseareradishes, I'm glad the scan passed by well enough, but I'm sorry you're worried about the results. I hope it turns out to be ok. I'm sure the your pedi has an idea of what to do if they were looking out for a possible issue there.
thoseareradishes, I am so sorry that you are worried about the results and that you have to wait until Tuesday to speak to the doctor. Any way you can call and get information before then to ease your mind?

Chrysanthemum, her head is long and narrow, so they are checking to see if the sagittal suture (which goes from the forehead towards the back of the head) is open.
shauni27, I'm like 99.9% sure it's closed from looking at the pictures; we can see the other sutures on her head but the sagittal one isn't there. Even though it sucks to wait, I'd rather go and get all our questions answered while H is with me, because he thinks of more questions than I do.
thoseareradishes, that makes sense. I did some snooping and some googling and it looks like it is treatable and that another poster on MMmoms went through this and had corrective surgery--I hope you are able to find support and positive encouragement if this is what needs to happen!

Thank you Yep, I'm pm'ing with the MMM poster. I'm going to try to stay off google - I made it though the NICU with minimal googling so I need to do the same now!

thoseareradishes, definitely keeping you in my thoughts...I'm sorry you're worried about the results, and I hope it turns out to be nothing and you just "missed it" or something! Hang in there!
Today is the last day of the week...our company gives the day off for Good Friday. I am so thankful, because our whole family has been sick this entire week, all from G going to daycare ONE DAY last week. UGH!!! J has a meeting with HR today at 3pm, hopefully it's the official "your leave has been approved" meeting that we've been waiting for. I will be so glad when that situation is resolved and we can just get on with our lives. On a happy front, T- 50 days until Puerto Rico!!!!!
I'm sorry you have to wait so long to discuss the results, thoseareradishes. But like shauni27 says, it's very treatable. I work in craniofacial surgery and it's something we deal with pretty often.
