Gift Ideas for 8yr old boy?

My nephew is turning 8 and I have no idea what to buy him. Any ideas? My sister doesn’t let them watch tv so unfortunately he isn’t into any characters. I know he likes LEGO’s & sharks. Thanks in advance!

DS is about to turn 8. He likes board games, like Ticket to Ride and Clue. Other ideas are Battle Bots, Beyblades, books, woodworking kits, and always Legos.

Slime making supplies. All the kids in dd’s 3rd grade class are obsessed with making slime.

Pokemon cards are big with my 7 year old boy and friends. He got very into it without watching any of it on TV. I think they would be popular with your nephew even if he does't get screens.

Ditto on the Beyblades; my kid doesn't have them but they're very popular. As I understand it, and from seeing them played with once in my house, you need both the tops and an arena. You can buy those separately or together.

My 8 year old loves legos, geodes, and games so what you have sounds great. I will just add in case you're still looking, any little electronics are a huge hit. He's had so many pocket drones, remote control little cars/motorcycles/whatever, voice recorders, etc. None of it lasts super long, but they are well loved in the time they do last.
