I've been MIA this week due to a work trip.
The good: I bought a wedding dress! SQUEE! I went shopping with my mom over the weekend and David's was having their $99 sale. I tried it on like 4 times and I really liked it but I didn't know if it was THE ONE. Another woman wanted to try it on (it was a sample so the only one left). I couldn't let her do it so I just bought it. I figured if it isn't THE ONE I will sell it on ebay. It was originally $599 so hopefully someone else would be willing to pay $ for it.
Also the good, I had my eval on Tuesday. While I didn't get a raise (whomp whomp) my boss had very positive things to say about me and my performance.
We are going for a tasting tonight, so I'm excited about that. I hope this caterer is good!
Lastly, my boss and I have been negotiating a new contract with a current client. While she is handling the $ piece, she has me negotiating the rest. We were on a call yesterday and she had to drop but told me to finish it up. This was my first time really negotiating a contract and it went really well! I was proud of my performance and got the client to agree to some of our requests.
The bad: I never sleep in hotel rooms so I feel like I got hit by a bus this morning! My plan is to chug some coffee and do a run in a bit. Hopefully that will wake me up!
The good: I'm starting to gather a plan to make some changes in my job and have people backing me up, so it's nice to know I'm not delusional!
I got back to yoga this morning and it felt good to sweat!
Tonight I'm getting together with a bunch of ladies to have some drinks and catch up. Plus DD said she might bring me coffee, at work, so we can talk since she's trying to figure "something out." I told her that's cool as long as she's not pregnant lol!
The bad: DS has decided to just not hand in homework and is not doing great in school right now because "middle school grades don't matter." Ugh.

Yes, pics, please, bullygirl979! Congrats on your upcoming retirement, mags!
The good: Today is DH and my 4-year anniversary! Two of the abstracts are now under 1700 characters. The program manager didn't seem upset at the issue of having to revise the abstracts so extensively and gave me some good guidance for avoiding having to do that in the future.
The bad: I'll be at my dance studio until late tonight, so DH and I will have to celebrate some other time. I still have 3 more abstracts to shorten.
The good: less overall stress. Plus I found I apartment that sounds like a great fit and they have a corner unit available! Cross fingers the timing works.
The bad: money will be pretty tight from now until July. I'm already mourning the lack of funds.
The good: this break has definitely been recharging me. I've even noticed I'm needing much less caffeine. It's been nice to spend time out in nature and I'm also enjoying my time to connect with friends.
The bad: break is almost over. I was supposed to have a date yesterday but never heard back from the guy when I texted to confirm (we hadn't set a time or place yet). Another guy I've been out with a couple of times asked me to get together so I said yes to him, but then our timetables were off and he got really weird. Like, I didn't want to get into a car with him and I didn't even fully understand one of his messages. He just seems unstable emotionally. No thank you.
mags congratulations! On retirement at least, still thinking healthy thoughts for your dad.
I am a broken record - work is pretty much crushing my soul right now (OMG, dramatic much? LOL). On top of that, we've been having days of gloomy rainy weather, and I'm supposed to be in the office 4 days next week for meetings instead of my usual 1. Blargh.
On the plus side, I took off my birthday next month, because it happens to be the day I'm leaving for another horse show. Take that, work stress! I'm going to play with horses instead.
Want to have a giggle? I bought some of the pro photos from our competition on Sunday. In EVERY.SINGLE.PHOTO, Owen is hilariously over-jumping - so much so that he could easily be clearing something 2 or 3x the size.

So, don't mind my poor posture. I was clearly uncomfortable. I would need some alterations as it is a bit snug in the hips (hence the pulling) and it is too long. It is a pretty lace, which you can't see if this picture.
chalupa , hahhaahah. He looks like he could STEP over them!
That is my determining factor for whether or not a jump scares me - if *I* can step or hop over it on my own two feet, I trust that the horse can get our rear ends up and over!
bullygirl979 , I had the hips let out on my dress, too. Yours looks perfect for late spring/early summer!
Thanks! It also feels wedding-y to me without being too over the top. I didn't want to wear a traditional dress again but I wanted to feel like a bride. I feel like this accomplishes that nicely.

The Good: It's almost Friday, and late afternoon. That's all I've got.
The Bad: Wtf - apparently my phone number has been spoofed and someone is using it to make robocalls!!! I called my phone company and all they can do is change my number. I'm getting calls from people non-stop who are "returning my calls." Except I haven't made any calls. I turned my phone off for an hour and when I turned it back on I had 17 voicemail messages from stranger calling me back. I think I might have to change my number which sucks because I've had this number forever
Good for me: My newly renovated office at work is finally coming together. It is 1/2 the size of my old one, so finding places for everything has been a challenge but it also forced me to clean and throw out a bunch of crap.
Bad: I am annoyed at my local Weight Watchers place. For the 2nd time I have driven there to get weighed in and attend a meeting and there has been no parking. I guess they can't control that the bar next door is busy and those customers take up all the parking, but I am still annoyed.
