P has the flu, so we laid low most of the weekend. Watched Justice League and the new Star Wars.

I went to the tailor on Saturday and found out the alterations will cost almost twice as much the dress. Not sure if I like the dress that much to spend that kind of $ on alterations.

And, I went to a consignment shop after and found a dress that I think I like more. Oops. Where is the hand slapping the forehead emoji? I sent pictures to my mom, sister, and friend and they all like it more too. Darn it. LOL. I also ordered a short dress off Modcloth that will be here on Wednesday. The lady is holding the dress I like, so my plan is to have my mom come over and we will try the dress I have, the short dress and then go look at the dress I like. And then decide. I was laughing as I sent a side by side pic to my sister and she said "I feel like the dress on the right looks all around more structured and elegant." I replied "it should as the one on the left is David's Bridal and the one on the right is Badgley Mischka." LOL.

I'm so grumpy that it's Monday. I didn't get to bed early enough because I was doing something for work. I want another week off!

Also, my body has been feeling kinda "off" in the last few days and I'm trying to figure out what it is. I still had fun this weekend but it definitely put a little bit of a damper on things. The hockey game Friday was fun, Saturday I rallied for my friend's going-away stuff and had some funny experiences. Yesterday I drive to my parents' house and we went to Easter brunch together.

Going to meet a friend I haven't seen in 15 years@ She lives in NC but is visiting her dad in next town over from my MIL!!!
She had to put her horse down this week so I called to check on her and we found out we have been spending Easters 10 miles apart for the last 5 years!!! So, we are making it happen today!

bullygirl979, it's crazy how expensive alterations are! I think I spent $400 or $500 on mine (remove the train, make it smaller in the bust, and cut a slit up the back). I've been really lucky on bridesmaid dresses in that I can usually wear them off the rack, so I had sticker shock on the wedding dress alterations!

I did not accomplish most of what I wanted to this weekend, but I did relax a fair amount, which was nice.

I just got back from personal training, though, and my hip hurts now...not like muscle soreness, but like something is a little bit out of whack in the joint. It wasn't bothering me at all during training and just started when I went to change afterward. I hope it resolves soon.

I woke up to a text from my mother, and about 6 inches of snow.

Im trying not to respond to mom in a negative fashion. I am so tired of feeling like the outcast in my own family. Sometimes I think it would be easier to just write them off and forget about it. The fact that my xh feels more welcome in my parent's home than I do is ridiculous, and its taking all I have to not send the message I've typed a million times but deleted.

Sorry. I've been sick for days and I'm cranky.

My weekend was good. Friday I got out early and did laundry. Saturday I went to a live podcast recording, then to a retirement party for an old coworker, then played D&D until late. Sunday I just laid around until the kids got home.

My weekend was nice. I didn't do anything exciting Friday or Saturday. I had such a crap week at work that I just wanted to lay on my couch and binge watch shows. Sunday I went to brunch with girlfriends and then we went and walked the beltline, stopping along the way for drinks at a few places. It was a really beautiful day here so it was nice to get outside.

I got home, took a bath, put on my pjs and watched Get Out. It was weird.

Weekend was pretty chill. DS, DD and I met friends at the movies Friday afternoon and saw A Wrinkle in Time and then DD and I mall walked, grabbed dinner (her treat) and binged Black Mirror. Saturday I ran some errands but laid pretty low. Yesterday, DD worked, so I lounged most of the day and then helped serve an Easter meal at a community table place. My mom took us out for dinner to celebrate DS's birthday since she's leaving for New Mexico this week and will miss his actual birthday.

Random, I'm currently really pissy with my supervisor at my 2nd job. She sent this bitchtastic email about my commitment to the job and asking if I still want the job. I got the email over a week ago and I still haven't responded because it was super bitchy and fuck her. So I'm going to her supervisor about it tomorrow morning to let her know and then I'm probably putting in my resignation.
