I am really hoping I can start running again soon. My cold is still in my lungs so not sure when I will want to (I want to right now but also want to be smart).
Today is bagels and groceries. I also need to call the pediatrician for L. He still has a wheeze in his lungs 🙁
We don’t really have a lot planned this week. Weather is supposed to be beautiful so lots of time outside!
Wednesday is the anniversary of my mom’s death. I am definitely struggling more with her loss lately. Last year when she passed, I saw a bunny at her house and felt like it was my mom saying it’s going to be ok (she loved bunnies). When I came home there was a bunny in our backyard (something we hadn’t seen the entire time we had lived here). The bunny stayed around for awhile but I hadn’t seen it for months until last week when I was on the phone talking to my brother. I have seen it a couple time since then too. It always makes me smile and think of my mom. I also left my usually coffee cup upstairs this weekend and didn’t want to wake DH so I just grabbed a new coffee mug...one I had made for my mom with pictures of her and C. Those were definitely some of the best times with her...she just loved him so much and wanted nothing more than to be a grandma!
Wednesday - OB/GYN appointment to finalize details for starting Clomid next cycle. Friday - Second acupuncture appointment. Sunday - AF is due-ish (progesterone has been throwing off my luteal phase a bit, so it might be off by a day or so in either direction).

This entire month is going to be insane for us. I will be so happy to see May!
We leave for Chicago on Saturday so this week is prepping for that, doing a bunch of final stuff for the new house (since we'll be gone the entire week before closing), my 1-hour glucose test, packing the house (which we're way behind on), and usual work/errands/random stuff.
Normal week here. Friday is my normal alone errands day. I look forward to Friday mornings just to be alone and it’s early so my phone normally doesn’t go off or ring unless H decides he needs something. I’m also going to purge my closet, if I haven’t worn it in a while it’s getting donated or given to a friend. We want to start packing stuff we don’t use just to be prepared and not rushing if he gets a job offer.
Saturday DH is going to a funeral of a friend a few hours away. I don’t do well with funerals or wakes so I’m staying home. It’s opening day at our favorite winery so I plan on going for a few glasses of wine and maybe lunch depending what’s on their new food menu. I’ll probably drag my mom with me so she can drive me home so I can have more then 1 glass.
Sunday we are taking our friend (our fire house daughter lol) out for her birthday. We are thinking of going to angry orchard, a brewery and another stop. I’m making some pulled pork, coleslaw and corn then a homemade ice cream cake. She’s all excited.
Not much going on as usual. Been in a funk and feel like I have nothing to add here lately.
C did start a preschool prep class a few weeks ago and was getting into a routine then got sick and missed last week. We're going back tomorrow. It's a great classd for her because she is always with me or her grandparents when I work. The first half of the class is with the parents and teacher, then the second half is just the kids and teacher. Good transition for C.
Tomorrow I'm taking both kids to a new doctor for checkups. Theirs is starting her own clinic. It's not open yet and I wasn't that attached to her, so we're going somewhere else! I'm weirdly excited because they have pretty good reviews.
Wed I have an eye appointment. I'm out of contacts. Oops!
Fri I go back to work :-( I'm not ready!! A started DC today also. So I'm trying to get stuff done while I'm home alone. And maybe take a couple naps, lol.
Sat we're going to stop to see my uncle. He wasn't able to make it to Easter because he was in the hospital. He was diagnosed with COPD (he smoked FOREVER but quit right around my wedding day) and was having some trouble breathing. After that we have a birthday party for H's cousin's kids.
Sun H and FIL are going to start jacking up the house. It's sinking a bit, everything is crooked, and there are cracks in the walls. We want to do floors in the living/dining area so we really need the floor to be more level before we do that!
Apparently we have a really busy week, that got long!
christy082- glad C is transitioning well to preschool! I was amazed at how well my C is doing given that he’s really always just been with me (outside of the few times I have left him with my parents or DH).
wineandcheese- your day at the winery sounds lovely! Enjoy!
HoneySpider- good luck getting ready for your trip this week! Hope you guys have a great time!
I have been super productive today! Trying to get our house back in order after being sick and the long weekend! Bagels and groceries, cleaned the kitchen/downstairs bathroom/tile downstairs, our bedding is in the dryer (just need to make the bed), carpet is picked up and ready to be vacuumed once nap is over, and ham and sweet potatoes are baking in the oven for dinner! We even walked to the library (3 mi round trip) to return a book and play for a bit!
We are closing on our rental house sale next week, so lots of details to wrap up for that this week! Eek, so excited.
It is my last week of maternity leave, and I'm alternating days of fun and days of productivity. Today is a productivity day (three loads of laundry, grocery shopping, deep cleaning a bathroom).
I joined WW last night and I'm bitter about it. I want to be like some of my friends who can eat anything and stay thin.
Last night we put in an offer on a house so this week is going to be full of house stuff. DH is booking a house inspection, an appointment with our mortgage broker, and we're going to see the house again on Thursday. We also have to wait and see if the conditional offer before ours is pulled. It seems weird to do all this so quickly then not move in for 3 months.
Isn't it supposed to be spring? I shoveled part of the driveway but stopped because I'm sore already, lol. We didn't get it all shoveled when it snowed over the weekend so there's frozen chunks under the fresh snow which makes shoveling horrible. It's supposed to snow more too! Make it stop!
estrellita, So, you can just easily jack up a house to level it? I had no idea! I'm assuming you don't have a basement?
luv2rn4fun, *hugs* my friend. I am so glad you have some good thoughts of your mom to focus on, but I'm sorry she isn't still with you when you miss her <3
amaranth Yes, we have a basement which is where the beams are holding up the house (obviously not well, lol). Basically the house is sinking a bit in the middle so the jacks will help push the joists (is that the right word?) up to the right place and make them more even. The house is so old that things probably weren't level to begin and not really built to last 100+ years! I just figured we might as well fix that as best we can before we do the floors because right now it's carpet, which hides the inconsistencies better (case in point, the floor in our bedroom goes up in one corner, which you probably wouldn't notice if it was still carpeted!).

And it's safe and stable to just lift the house up?!?! That sounds scary. lol.

If you do it slowly! That's why we're doing it now. If you just push it all up at once, you'll get a lot of cracks and possible damage. If you do it slowly, it'll gradually put everything back where it's supposed to be. It'll probably create a few extra cracks but it's just the sheetrock. That can easily be patched and painted over. Also our door frames might shift but we'll deal with that then.. Haha. They're already crooked. You should see the piece they added to the door to the playroom whenever they added that door!
I should have canceled the kids appointment today.. ugh. The roads were so horrible. On the way in to town I saw 3 cars in the ditch and I went maybe 35-40 the whole time on the highway. I considered turning around a couple times but decided to just go for it. My hands hurt from gripping the steering wheel so hard, lol. I had a bit of a panic attack leaving the doctor's office with screaming kids, ice and dumb drivers. I freaked out and called H to meet me by his work which he was just about to leave. He took the kids in his car and followed me home after calming down. Drive home I only saw one car in the ditch but it was so icy. I'm just happy we're all home safe! I have an eye appointment tomorrow that I might cancel depending on the roads. I don't need another panic attack. I'm out of contacts but oh well. It can wait!
Spring break starts Friday afternoon!!! Counting down the days since we're in testing week and it's draggggging out so bad.
CD2. Thankful for my RE appointment next week- can't wait to get this show on the road (hopefully). I'm tired of getting periods, and wish there was a magical option to stop menstruating until wanting to get pregnant, then turning it back off until the next time.
grover I'd be happy if periods weren't a thing and our bodies had some other way of doing what they need to do. I mean, is it really necessary to bleed and be in pain every month?? So dumb!

This is where I am at too. I would love to be pregnant again, partially for the no period benefit but mostly because I enjoyed most of those times (minus the PGAL anxiety). Periods are the worst.
I'm starting to get really anxious about going back to work. I have no idea why. Maybe it's just because it's been so long? Plus my job has changed since I've been gone. With the new system, it's changed the way we follow up on items and such so it'll be much different. I am excited to go back, but I keep feeling like I'm getting a mini panic attack when I think about Fri. Hopefully I'll get back into the swing of things quickly!
So today I discovered that someone stole two bills with checks in them out of our mailbox and was able to cash them! People really suck.
Oh no! If it makes you feel better, if the checks get returned (which they should, I'm assuming you contacted the bank?), the money gets removed from their account and they'll likely get shut down. People do suck sometimes!
It’s snowing. Wtf I want spring weather! I was hoping to go for a hike but it’s not happening today.
I really want sushi for lunch but don’t feel like driving. I’ll probably give in and get some though.
Sorry about the snow and not being able to get out for a hike 🙁. I hope you are able to get out for sushi! Sushi is one of my favorite foods, just wish we had more disposable income so we could go (sadly, we haven’t been much since being pregnant with C, maybe 3-4 times).
