Ughhh guys I'm drying up P drinks 14 ounces while I'm at work. He's at more like 12 now because he just doesn't want it all. I used to pump 18-20 ounces while at work. Usually 12-14 in my first pump and 4-8 during my second. That dropped a few weeks ago. I was juuuust getting the 14 that I needed. Last week I only got out 11. Today I just pumped for the first time and only got 6.5 - and I rarely get more than 4 ounces in the afternoon anymore. This sucks
So my Mom is going to start giving him some formula in a sippy after he finishes his bottles to see if he wants it. But what about when it's me? He's nursing 4x per day - should I also be giving him some formula?
Hi old friends I hope some of you remember me, I certainly remember all of you. My baby girl is 2 now, and we're doing an FET on Monday as our first shot at trying for #2. Going through this process again made me want to check in here. I'm so happy to see so many people here <3

My supply started decreasing around this age too. I attributed it to her getting older and eating more solids and nursing less when we were together (still the same number of sessions but I assumed she was getting less each time). I had enough in the freezer to barely squeak by (I also pumped 3 times during the day plus one pump at night after bedtime 7 days a week to get ahead), but I trusted that she was more efficient than the pump and getting what she needed. She never acted hungry so I didn't worry about it. I would have his care giver give him formula after his bottles like you're going to do to gauge his interest but keep nursing when you're together. If it isn't enough, he'll let you know. Big hugs, feeding infants can be so nerve wracking.
knx9211, didn't you just post that your period just came back? That can definitely cause a few days dip in your supply. I bet it will come back up soon. Mine never fully recovered after I first started, but it did improve. I think when you are nursing him all day he will get what he needs. Or he might wake up an extra time at night to make up for it . I would probably give it some time to see if your body bounces back. But giving a little formula too is a fair choice if that's what you want to do. He's also at an age where he might start eating a lot more food and not needing quite so much milk.

Yeah, I thought it was AF at first, too. She just showed up last week. But it's continuing to dip - I think that it's because he's a human garbage disposal and eats SO MUCH FOOD and loves it so his demand is decreasing. I'm being all 'BUT MY BABYYYYY' about it because why is he getting so big soon he'll be 18 and will move out and won't need me anymore.
ivy, how are you? I can't believe our girls are 2 now! Hope you've been well. Exciting that you're gearing up for #2.
I've had a cold this week. A has had a cold. It's raining and miserable and... blah. Because I know you're all so interested in my job saga (probably not but I'm going to tell you anyway), I'm stepping up my networking. Met with a woman yesterday who is really well connected. She was SO nice, you guys. So, so nice and eager to help connect me with people. It felt like a sisterhood of women giving a leg up to other women, which I haven't felt since living in London. So hopefully I can get my name out there and find something good.
got my NIPT test results back - everything looks good! Also, I had her leave me a message letting me know what the sex is. It's sitting there on my phone begging for me to peek but I'm going to wait til after work when H and I can listen together. eek.
my urine culture was negative, so no infection. Tomorrow morning I have my renal ultrasound to check for kidney stones. If it's not that then the nurse said maybe my bladder is just "angry" about the baby. wtf.
thoseareradishes I meant to say something sooner but I'm so sorry about the news about the surgery. It's wonderful that the technology exists to help her, but it must be so scary to be faced with the reality of it. Many good thoughts to all of you.
Looks like I do have kidney stones. They are referring me to a urologist, but it sounds like nothing will be done until after I deliver. Unless of course the stones start moving at which point I am to report directly to the ER. It sounds like at least one is quite large. I started googling but then decided I should lay off til I talk to the urologist.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
