pisces, yeah I'm a little mad I paid full "book" price for that!
I'm also wondering if she will have someone (Elaine) not end up with their mate. Broken people who can only be fixed by their (soul)mate seems to be a big theme for SJM, so it would be interesting if she did something a little different for one of them. Or maybe even just someone not really having a HEA would be a little different/interesting and more realistic?

My guess is that she will have Az and Elaine be mates too. SJM mentioned in the past that it was possible to have more than one mate when answering a questions about ToG, I bet she uses those same rules in this series.

It was cute Elaine got Az a present. I have a feeling they will end up together and Lucian will end up with Vassa(if that's even possible).
I'm mad we didn't find out what Cassian got Nesta haha.
Man, I’m bummed ya’ll didn’t like it. I hadn’t bought it yet because I accidentally got sucked into a 600 pager. I picked up Tower of Dawn on a kindle special about six months after it was released, s9 maybe I’ll just keep my eyes open.
I liked it fine, but I really did roll my eyes at the happy stuff. That’s not them and it’s forced to make them do normal things. I know it was supposed to be a bridge story, but there were too many POVs and not one I really cared about. She could have dived into the spinoff just fine without this book.

I totally agree. I wasn’t unhappy that I read it but I would have preferred that she dive right into the spin-offs. I really can’t wait to find out what goes down with Cassian and Nesta.
Sometimes I don’t know why I listen to you ladies! (J/k you know I ❤️ you). I think you’re expectations were too high, or maybe the world is just that much worse since May - lolsob.
I gave this one five stars. Yeah, it’s true nothing happens, but almost everyone is HAPPY! I totally want to celebrate solstice and snuggle on the couch with the gang drinking wine. And no one busts in trying to kill them! (Oops - spoiler alert). My favorite parts of SJM’s books are the interpersonal relationships. So far we have to rely on descriptions of happy memories to understand the Night Court’s dynamic; but this little 200 page novella let’s you experience it. It’s a nice, peaceful interlude, and I highly recommend.
(also, I finished Before We Were Yours days before we discovered trump is locking up kids, so the break from reality with my favorite characters was awesome)
I was just happy to be with the characters as well. But while waiting for the next novella, I've started ToG (I read the prequel/novellas first, which is what SJM recommends), so that will keep me busy for awhile.
