We're finally at the financial point we can travel more, and living with my MIL is working as she can let the dog out and feed him along with a dog walker walking him once a day (he's old), so we feel more confident travelling. So, we're travelling more this year. What about you?
I just got back from Romania and Moldova (posted in Travel board about it).
Going to Edinburgh for the May bank holiday for a "hen night" (for those not in the know it's a bachelorette party) and again this summer for the Fringe festival with H and another couple.
Renting a villa with my brother, his kids, SIL and her sister in Tuscany for a week, followed by two days in Rome and 5 days in Malta.
We haven’t been anywhere in what seems like forever. Between being pregnant and having a newborn we have been pretty homebound.
We finally planned something and are going to Nha Trang the last weekend in April. I have a conference in DC in May so we will go back to the US for that and also extend the trip to go home to Florida. We may do a long weekend somewhere in between too, who knows.
I am just so ready to get out of Hong Kong for a few days.

I totally hear you on being pregnant and travel with a newborn. Not fun.
we just got back from Phuket. We will likely travel to chiang mai within the next few weeks and then Bali for three weeks in June. We were going to go back to the states but I can’t stomach the thought of traveling with three little ones that distance again voluntarily. That sounds horrible I know. Other than that we will likely go to Penang for Memorial Day weekend for dh’s birthday and that’s it.

I have no plans. We did a partial Panama Canal Cruise over New Year's and then spent a week with my family in New Orleans. We have a couple of long weekends planned, but nothing more than that until at least 2020, when we're planning a Canada/New England cruise. I really want to share Quebec and Halifax with DH.

toutsuite we went to Penang last Easter and it was great. We stayed at the Eastern & Oriental and really liked it. It’s in my top 5 for Asian hotel breakfast buffets and there is stuff competition!
B really loved the butterfly garden even though she puked in the uber on the way there. Traffic was pretty bad, but I think it was also Songkran which was holding everything up.

We just got back from Lanzarote with the kids and had a mostly fantastic time. Our son is a HORRIBLE flier though - he's that toddler who's wiggling and screaming and throwing things and just won't.sit.still. Our daughter has always been a great traveller so that was a new one - we weren't surprised, he doesn't sit still voluntarily for anything - but we had hoped it wouldn't be that horrible!
Going back to the states this summer - Edinburgh-Santa Fe-Portland. Two 9 hour flights with a 5 hour layover and a 2 hour drive at the end, going to be horrific. But we get almost 2 weeks with my mom and my dad and brother are coming out for some of it. Visiting cousins and friends in Portland who both have kids/babies so will be lovely to be together but I am seriously dreading the flights.

Dropping my kid of in Paris early July so she can go to camp for 3 weeks. I come back home and then fly back out to pick her up and then we stay for another month to visit fr winds and family in France, Switzerland and the Netherlands.
We’re just starting our international adventure. We’re moving from the US to Seoul in a few months. I have spent very little time actually planning our travel since we’ve been preoccupied with my MIL who was in hospice care, as well as coordinating the move. As we get closer to moving, I’m thinking more about the places we want to see while we are over there. DH’s birthday is about 8 weeks after we arrive in Seoul, which happens to be around the same time my kids will have a week off of school for the Chusok holiday. I would love to go to Singapore that week, butI have no idea what needs to happen as far as our immigration status in Korea with regard to visas, etc.
I would also love travel suggestions for an active and adventurous family in Asia with a 9 and12 year old.

We have not traveled as much as we used to do when we lived in Europe. I miss it SO much. There is not much planned yet either besides a short trip to Salt Lake City (DH has a conference); a long weekend in Steamboat Springs, and perhaps a short trip to Northern California to see some family. I am going to a conference in Stockholm in August and want to combine it with a visit to friends and family in the Netherlands. But I long for an international trip together with DH again. I feel our relationship really needs it right now: exploring a new culture and new surroundings together (first world problems lol). Anyone has any recs on the Bahamas or something?

I don’t actually know anything about South Korea, but I would imagine that visa could be sorted within 8 weeks. When I moved to Hong Kong the visa was ready before we ever actually moved, we didn’t land on a tourist visa.
Anyway, with a 9 and 12 year old you can go anywhere! My kids are much younger, but those ages sound very easy to travel with. Singapore is kind of boring for a full week, but it is a very easy destination and was our first vacation in Asia as well.

Our international journey begins in August when we move to the Netherlands. I’ll be in school so hard to travel but October is both of our birthdays as well as our 1 year anniversary so we will likely try to go somewhere. I want to go to Portugal. We’re planning on going to Germany for Christmas break. And then Sweden and Denmark or something in January. I also go to South Africa in January for school.
I can’t wait to be able to travel so easily and much cheaper than from here.

We took a spur of the moment road trip to Split last weekend, which was relaxing and nice.
H has a conference in Germany coming up, so I'm going to tag along and then after we'll rent a car so we can go cross Liechtenstein off the bucket list. Then I think we're doing to spent the weekend in Switzerland.
We're planning to spend our anniversary on Corfu in July.
H is really busy at work for the next couple of months, but I'm thinking of doing some solo travel. I just haven't decided where yet.
