Taking 2.5 weeks off for being sick really took a toll on my fitness but I am hoping to get back strong quickly. Still not feeling 100% but definitely want to get back to my old normal starting this week.
My goal is to run 20 miles. I am going to have to be very intentional as it’s supposed to be hot this week and we are likely going to disneyland in Thursday. I am hoping to run when DH leaves for work today and tomorrow, during preschool on Weds and Fri, and maybe one day over the weekend.

I really need to start buckling down. I’ve been feeling like crap about myself and only I can fix it. I ate like crap over the weekend.
I bought a bunch of healthier options when I went to the grocery store.
Meals for the week: -unstuffed cabbage casserole -lemon chicken with asparagus -turkey burger with sweet potato fries
Lunches are salads with chicken. Breakfasts will be ham and egg white scrambles with veggies. For snacks I have mango slices, blackberries, string cheese and fiber one brownies for chocolate/sweet cravings.
I need to figure out my workout schedule still but doing a lower body and core workout today.
I'm not even going to pretend I'm going to be healthy the next couple weeks. It's survival mode while DH is traveling.
So far I'm planning easy, kid friendly meals.
Mac and cheese, steamed veggies Protein pancakes, scrambled eggs, fruit
We will also be joining my mom and grandma for meals as it works out.
I'm going to try some easy, before bed yoga. I haven't been able to motivate myself in the morning and thought it might be nice to help me relax after the girls are in bed.
I agreed to do a walk to run program with my Mom through her work so I've put my personal one on hold. I need to make sure I still take walks regularly since that program is twice a week. My goal is to start doing yoga during C's naps. Today is a prime example of what usually happens: I eat and surf the net. If not that, I clean.
I have not been able to grasp meal planning for a week. I SAH so there's really not much of an excuse other than I forget to do it. I guess I'll look at it now. I was reading Cruel to be Kind by Cathy Glass last night and her description of this family's destructive eating practices hit home. While we're not obese like the family she described, we do not have healthy eating habits.
suzv- I definitely have those kind of days. ((Hugs)). You have been doing so awesome lately! Everyone needs an easy week now and then (in fact, when I was racing I always did 3 weeks “hard” and then had an easy week to recover...you can’t always be on your A game or you will burn out).
bk1- good luck this week (and next) friend! I hope you are able to get some yoga and rest in the evening after the girls are in bed! Also hope you can have some extra help from family!
wineandcheese- you’ve got this! Hope you have a good week!
katespade- ((Hugs)). Sorry you are still dealing with AF and other stomach/GI issues 🙁
@opal- I always have grand plans for nap time and then here I am 😀. At least I folded a load of laundry and C and I picked up the playroom before his nap!?!
Ran 5.5 miles before it got too hot! We ended our run at a park and then walked the mile home after playing for an hour or so! I almost have 16k steps so far today and it’s only 1:30!

I did a really good job last week with getting my steps up, I want to try and continue that this week. The last 2 days were not great but passed my goal today.
My eating will be horrendous this week but whatever - as long as I don't let it carry on beyond this trip I'm ok with it.

I started doing squats, lunges, standing crunches and wall pushups at work every time I go to the bathroom, which is about every hour because I drink a full gallon a 12 hour shift. I want to buy a jump rope too for work to keep moving. It’s not much but I figured it’s better then nothing.

I ran another 5.2 miles yesterday for a total of 20.2 for the week so far! I also ended up with over 25k steps between the run, walking to and from preschool pickup, and walking to and from chipotle (3 miles round trip) for dinner! Not sure if I will run tomorrow but at least I have reached this week’s goal! We also hiked today so I have over 10k steps by 1p
