I've planned a week at a gorgeous AirBNB in August in Glover, VT. We are vacationing with my parents and sister, but driving separately from them.
I'm struggling to figure out an itinerary, which is part of the reason we're vacationing here vs. the beach, etc. We will have a 6-8 week old newborn, so are purposefully planning to take it easy. Apparently this is difficult for me as I really like to plan.
Because of this, the home we chose to rent is large enough to give everyone space, offers a TON of outdoor space (including a stocked pond), play area for our daughters, etc.
If you're familiar with the area, what can we put on our "must see/do" list for the week? I know my dad plans to do quite a bit of fly fishing. I'm hopeful I can squeeze in some napping.
ETA: We are planning on a day trip to Burlington and another day trip to Quebec (as long as we have DS's birth certificate in time to get him into Canada)
The Ben & Jerry's headquarters is not far from there. They have tours, a play area, etc. I don't know how old all the kids are, but that would probably be a fun option.
Where you driving from? I think there are a few breweries in White River Junction.
ESF, we're driving in from Pittsburgh. Our kids will be 5.5 and nearly 4 at the time (plus a 1-2 month old).
The plan is to leave early Saturday, spend the day at Hershey Park and then continue the drive. We'll stop somewhere Saturday night.. perhaps close enough to NYC that we can take the ferry to see the Statue of Liberty.

Cool. I think the Ben & Jerry's factory will be on your route then. I haven't been in a million years, but I have family in New England, so I see pictures of my cousins' kids there often, and everyone seems to love it.
Not sure if you are going through NY or if you are going to drive up the 91 through Massachusetts. If you do the latter, you will pass through Northampton and Deerfield. There are a few breweries in Northampton, and Berkshire Brewing Company is in Deerfield and is great. Both towns are cute and would be nice for pit stop to get lunch and walk around.

If you like to swim/beach, check out Crystal Lake and Lake Willoughby, or the (much larger) Lake Memphramagog. The water at Crystal Lake and Willoughby is undeniably beautiful. If you go up to Newport, maybe take the boat tour of the lake. It really is quite beautiful.
