I told my boss about the pregnancy today. He was so happy for me, it was really nice. There's a big project I'm assigned to that will require several weeks of travel when I'm like 8 months along, so I mentioned that we'd have to find someone else to take that over. He wasn't even phased, just like don't worry, who do you recommend, we'll figure it out later.
We went camping this weekend and had a lovely time, but man everyone came home filthy. DD did not like the sand at the beach a few weeks ago but she loved sitting in the dirt and getting it all over her. I bought this camping high chair and it was amazing. H kept insisting we didn't need one so big but finally I was like, I'm getting it anyway. lol. We set it at the end of the picnic table and it was perfect.
I am going to Japan this coming weekend for work. I will be gone for a week and than come home and we go on a 7 day cruise!!!!! OMG so much packing!!! Trying to get me and S packed for cruise before I leave.
S is FINALLY walking walking 99% of the time. OMG do I love baby shoes!!!!!!! So cute!!!! She has TINY little feet (size 3) and they are not chubby, so it is hard to find shoes that I like that fit her, and they are all online! Lots of shopping lol!
I am back from Florida and had a great and "relaxing" time! I did not even get a chance to go to see mpc because we mostly did not leave our complex--walked to the beach or the pool and that was it! It was rough coming home to cold and snow though. When will this weather improve??
While we were away, S did pretty well with sleeping, GREAT traveling, ate everything in sight, loved the ocean and the pool and taught himself to pull himself up on things. He kind of bear crawls right now and it is adorable.
Last night we got back on track with our strict sleep training and G and I slept SO much better. Thank god.

Another week! G has his 9 month appointment next week and I'm curious to see how things turn out! He has officially "Graduated" PT, so that was exciting, and in the last week or so he has gone from laying down to sitting up on his own, and is now pulling up on things and starting to try to cruise. He hasn't quite figure it out yet, so I imagine it'll be a bit before he's consistently cruising, but it was amazing how he did the crawling, sitting up, and pulling up one right after another. Watching these kids grow right before our eyes is so fascinating!
Still no birth certificate yet...thank God we didn't plan to go anywhere requiring a passport for our anniversary, or else we would have been HOSED! J has been a SAHD now for a few weeks and is, of course, loving every minute of it. I swear, those two are two peas in a pod...which makes me super happy. J has also fully gutted G's bathroom, and we're starting to put everything back together, I'll be so thrilled when that's finished!!
Just got home from our RE consult for #2. She said not to plan on the first IUI working this time. Saline sono tomorrow, rest of baselines next cycle, IUIs planned for June, July and August. Too bad H started a new job today- the insurance his old company switched to on 4/1 included 90% of up to 4 IUIs per calendar year.
I'm off this week before so start my new job next Tuesday Today I sent DS to daycare and got a ton of yard work done, ran 7 miles, and now I'm lounging a bit before I pick him up. I'll probably send him for part of the day everyday so I can get stuff done.
Tomorrow I have a consult with the RE about TTC #2. We're planning a FET in August/Sept so I just want to get all my ducks in a row!
Still just chugging along, almost there! I did a lot of baking and cooking this weekend to use later as freezer meals. I still have yet to pack my hospital bag but we do have the car seat installed. I did take everything out of all the kitchen cupboards and scrub them down.
This week my goal is make a batch of lactation cookies, pack my hospital bag, wash all the baby related sheets. I gave H a list of things he needs to get done too (change the 3rd room from his study to a guest room so my mom can stay there when she visits). It's getting real!
My cousin is pregnant and due in August, she mentioned she's having her shower on June 17th. We were all at my uncles house and cousin mentioned her shower and my dad told her I definitely wont come because it's H's first fathers day and I would much rather spend Father's Day with my husband than at her shower. LOL I mean, we were all thinking it but my dad is the most blunt person ever. Absolutely no filter.
mpc, I’m so glad your boss was supportive! shauni27, love the sleep news! oneslybookworm, awesome that your H is loving the SAHD life and getting to work on projects. 🤗 scm1011, new job, yay! I’m thrilled for you.
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I had an OB appt today first thing. 18w tomorrow, and feeling baby move a lot! It was my first appointment where I’m treated like a normal pregnant lady, and that 4 weeks was an eternity! We just did the Doppler today. I asked to confirm if I’d be referred to an MFM, since I’m 39. He sent a referral to one for my anatomy scan, instead of the regular imaging center. I’m relieved!
He did say I should skip or change my plans for a trip to Utah (2ish hour flight) that we’d scheduled before I got pregnant. I thought it’d be fine, since it’s the week I hit 34w, but he said he’d be more cautious, especially because it’s just for fun. I told H he and DS should still go, because it’s meeting up with his family, and I can save my time off and still get a little alone time.
Also, I’m still hiding the pregnancy at work. Ahhh. I am interviewing this week for a huge job here, and I can’t bear it if they use that against me. I’m somehow still able to do that, despite being 4’11” with no torso. 🤷♀️ I’m out next week at a conference, so maybe when I get back.

E had sloppy joe for lunch today, she loved it! The kid can really eat. She has to stay on some formula until her original due date, but she's eating so much solid food that I really need to lower how much formula she gets.
She has been cruising for awhile and I'm curious when she will start trying to walk. Lately she's been standing up against me then letting go so I think she is thinking about it. I really hope she can walk into her preemie clinic appt in June!
pandora89, I loved your maternity pictures. You looked so lovely! Mushe, I somehow never knew you were so short lolol. Also, a few days at home alone right now sounds SO DREAMY so I think you should take full advantage of that while H and DS go to Utah Lastly--18 weeks already?!?! OMG!!!

thoseareradishes, is that normal, to stay on formula until adjusted age is 1 year? We have our 9 month appointment next week, so I was going to ask, but curious if that's the standard for all preemies, or just because E came SUPER early?
This cold is hella persistent and we are both still sick! I would have sent A to daycare today but her teacher took a sick day, which is just as well. I'm hoping we'll all feel better tomorrow.
Leo refuses to sleep anywhere but on someone. He'll get into a deep sleep when you're holding him and the second you put him down in his bassinet he starts fussing and grunting and getting himself worked up, and then he spits up everywhere and chokes on it. I suspect reflux, but we have a wedge under his dock a tot for incline. I can handle wake ups every 2 hours if he just ate, had a diaper change and went back down to sleep. I know it's bad to sleep with them on you, but it's the only way I can get even half an hour of sleep at a time. I'm exhausted. We have a pediatrician appointment Thursday for another weight check, so I'll see if she has any suggestions.
Oh kellikans, I’m so sorry! That definitely sounds like reflux, or a sensitivity issue. These early days are so hard and long, trying to figure out what they need and how you can help. DS was super sensitive to what I ate when he was that little, like broccoli would do a number on him.

It is pretty standard for micropreemies, but I'm not sure about other preemies. Micropreemies miss out on all that third trimester goodness from mom/placenta, so they need a little extra boost of vitamins and minerals. E also has osteopenia of prematurity, which affects mineralization of her bones, so she needs the extra vit d, calcium and phosphorus in formula.

Not liking because she’s a micropreemie, but more so because I actually understood the explanation!

kellikans, S was the EXACT same way. Awful. He would just not sleep anywhere but on me. He would be SOUND asleep but the minute we put him down he was wide awake again. Do you have a rock n play? That was the only thing that eventually worked for us, but until then, we coslept, which I said I would never do. The women on this board really made me feel like it was okay and supported me and we will do the same for you; you need to do what you can so you can ALL get sleep. Good luck, mama.
Morning all! FET was yesterday and went well. So now we wait!
I remember those days so well, kellikans. It's so hard when you're that tired. I'm sure you've tried it all, but we eventually had success with a tight swaddle, sound machine, pacifier, and actively touching her and soothing her to sleep. But in the meantime, we definitely survived only by letting her sleep on us and switching her off in the middle of the night so we each got some solid blocks of sleeping alone. Hang in there, I hope the pedi has some advice for you.

Well, we're unknown IF, and she said lightening might not strike as quickly this time around. I know originally we only were given a 15% chance of the first IUI working the last time. Possibly just so I don't get my hopes up?
shauni27, he's still too small for the RNP. He just sinks into the seat and gets all scrunched up. Last night my mom and I switched off holding him. I slept from 10 to 3ish, then took over and she went to bed. I feel like I got some decent sleep and he seemed much more comfortable sleeping on me. I'm going to call the pediatrician as soon as they open and see if we can get him something for his reflux.
I always said I would never cosleep, but I hate seeing him so uncomfortable and in pain.
Anyone ever have a hysteroscopy? RE found two polyps today during the saline sono.
I had one to remove polyps. I was under anesthesia, it took less than an hour. Recovery was pretty easy, rested the rest of the day and felt pretty much 100% the next day. I have issues with anesthesia but they gave me a patch to put behind my ear and I was fine.

I had one done for polyps, too. I had more bleeding than after my d&c, but nothing more than a light period. Mine was also done under anesthesia. No big deal.

kellikans, C took Zantac starting at 8 weeks. In hindsight we should have started sooner, it made a HUGE difference (once we found the correct dose). Good luck!

I've had 2. The first was rough but they removed like 15 polyps so I bled a lot and was uncomfortable for a few days. The second one they removed 1 polyp I barely bled, and I was good to go the next day
