Hi all - I am struggling with finding a foundation that is a good color match. I have very fair skin but yellow undertones and little redness. I like my concealer so I am really just looking for something with medium coverage that will even out the skin tone. I went to Nordstrom last week in hopes of getting a good color match since Sephora has failed me, but once I got home the insanely expensive foundation (Cle de Peau) the Beauty Stylist recommended was way too brown. So I am back on the search.
I am headed to the mall after work to try MUFE, Estee Lauder (used in the past and liked) and maybe IT Cosmetics. Any feedback on those or suggestions for others? My skin is on the dry side so it needs to be liquid, powders don't work for me.

Thanks for the suggestions! Now looking back, the Nordstrom Beauty Advisor was the store's official rep for Cle de Peau so I feel like I got a little duped with that being the foundation she sold me.
Cover FX and Fenty have huge shade ranges. I have not tried Fenty, but I have found both the CoverFX drops (which I mix with primer or moisturizer) and the CoverFX foundation to be excellent.
Make Up For Ever Ultra HD is my favorite. Fenty is for oily skin, I've been warned away from it even though it's liquid since I have dry skin.
For a drugstore option, I really like L'Oreal True Match Lumi Cushion. I wear W2. There's also the True Match Lumi liquid foundation but I haven't tried that one.

The fenty foundation had a beautiful finish but oxidized on me and ended up looking pink/orange.
I’ve found tartes rainforest of the sea to be one of the few foundations I’ve purchased that does okay with a fair color and yellow undertones. I don’t love them as a brand particularly after the shape tape foundation shenanigans.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone - I ended up getting samples of Estée Lauder, Bobbi, and MUFE HD. They all seem to be ok color matches in store so I’ll see how they look from home.

If none of them work, I’d try Fenty. Their color selection on the light side really is amazing. I don’t have a match with any of the brands you’re sampling, but I came close with Bobbi Brown- it was just a little too yellow.

Your skin sounds like mine. I've had luck with Fit me matte and poreless in either 112 (lighter) or 115 (a bit darker) Both are very light and are the only shades that don't leave a line of demarcation on my jawline. The matte formula works on my combo skin. I tried the dewy and smooth and the colors were all orangey and wrong. So if I'm a bit drier, I'll use a light spf day cream before using and it's perfect.

I have a similar skintone and I'm still in love with Charlotte Tillbury Magic Foundation. It looks great on, but I swear I look like a fresh faced teenager in my selfies with it.

I'm bummed they don't sell this at my local Nordstrom; I am really bad at trying to pick my shade online

They are really good at returns. I'm the number 2 shade, 3 is slightly more yellow if that helps.
I know this thread is a few weeks old, but just in case: I have normal, fair skin (but more pink) and really love Laura Mercier foundations. I've tried several of their formulas over the years. And I know they do have lots of fair shades that run yellow, because every once in a while they'll test one on me and we realize how not-yellow my undertones are. Haha.

I mix the lightest Japonesque shade (I'm really pale) with a light warm UD Naked for my foundation. They have a good variety of lighter shades. Doesn't feel like it's too heavy of coverage on the skin, and gives a nice finish.
