TGIF!! What's going on this weekend? What randoms do you want to share?

I am doing a HH tonight with some friends to celebrate my birthday. Other than that, nothing much planned. Working out. Maybe hit up the bookstore.

I had a nice birthday yesterday I went to lunch with my mom and nephew. Then P came home early from work and we spent some, ahem, time together. He took me out for Mexican and we drank delicious margaritas and gorged on awesome food. I am so happy as he got me a SD card for my new camera (which I needed before my class) and a hard drive. This is awesome as I have so many good pictures from Everest and Europe and I've been so paranoid that I could lose them. Now I can back everything up!

Happy Friyay!! I'm on the struggle bus a little this morning because I didn't go to bed until late (well late for a weeknight for me) because DD and I went to dinner and a play last night. It was fun to hang with her on her campus.

Tonight I'm going to my friend's daughter's sweet 16 party where there is a waffle bar and a dj lol! Tomorrow I picked up an on-call shift and then will probably hang out at home since it's still freaking January and a blizzard is predicted. Sunday is coffee with a friend to catch up and pick her brain about stuff.

Random...wheels are turning at work and people are agreeing with me about things needing to change. I don't think it will happen soon, but changes will happen. Now, I can't say they'll be what I want them to be, but they'll change and then I can figure out if I want to stay or go. And my voice is being heard, which is nice.

I'm here! Congested and a little wobbly, but here. One of my cats has been walking away from where I am (bed) and crying for about the past hour. He's ridiculous!

This weekend I'm going to do a lot of resting. I was invited to go to a baseball game with one of my friends, which will depend on how I'm feeling. Sunday I'm walking a 5k with my dad and then we're going to breakfast afterwards. In the afternoon I have to be at work for a few hours. I'm looking forward to seeing my dad and spending time with him.

We made it!

Weekend: going to do some gardening tonight when I get home (carrots, cilantro, and parsley need to be planted), going to a wine festival with DH and CWs tomorrow, and teaching on Sunday, as per usual.

Randoms: I found out that I did not get a job that I interviewed for (I was "meh" oh the job description, but it would have come with a decent raise and incomparable job stability), but I am apparently still in the running for another one (more interesting job description, but stability is not great), and they hope to make conditional offers next week. We shall see!

Another random: we were reviewing who we're trying to get for our career day fair at my work and it became a list along the lines of construction worker, police, firemen, military pilot and I turned to one of my co-workers and whispered that it sounded like a stripper convention. 😂 Later when someone suggested getting someone else from the military she said "ooh, a Navy SEAL, that would be good" and I almost lost it.

The weather is turning sour real fast here. I have no plans this weekend except for seeing the new guy tonight/ tomorrow. And maybe that's a good thing because snow and ice do not mix for driving.

I am so bummed out. I was suppose to have a great girls wknd with 5 friends that I have known since gradeschool. We have planned this wknd since thanksgiving because who would think we would be getting the worst snow storm of the season in April. One girl is stuck in Texas, one in oregon and another in Wisconsin. The rest are local.

I am soo dissapointed.

Tonight, I'm going to do my laundry then relax. Tomorrow I am going to a beer release, then coming home and figuring the rest out.

That is such a bummer, spindle92! It's nuts that you and gault are still having to deal with (lots of) snow!

So glad this week is over.

I’m hoping this weekend is an easy one:

Today is garage clean-up, catchup on some work, and hang out with the dogs.

Tomorrow I’m going to visit my dad at rehab, grocery run, and catch up on laundry.

Here’s hoping next week is an easier one.
