Hey! I thought I'd check in and update you about my family that you guys helped so much to make comfortable. They are doing well! Ita almost been a year. One year closer to citizenship! School, work, drivers licenses and a Car. They have a visa interview to visit the state's in May (my grandma is in hospice so they want to see her or make her funeral) I'm hopeful they'll get approved.

My cousin just got his school transcripts transferred from Baghdad so now he is able to enroll in college here. They're English is coming along...the boys, my aunt and uncle are finding it difficult to speak English, my aunt is shy and my uncle just doesn't have the patience. They continue to attend ESL though. My older cousins English has really exploded being on the Tim Horton drive through order taker lol.

Hope you're all doing well! And happy birthday month to our almost 6 year olds!! I can't throw Julian a party because we will probably be mourning so I'm trying to think of a good gift to makeup for it.

My grandma actually passed on the 13th. They diednt mske her funeral unfortunately. My dad called me like 5 mins after I made this post.
