Mason Wayne April 11 (Wes’s birthday!) at 10:37am 7lbs 15oz
Figured I’d share here since there are a few that still check in here that I don’t have on social media.
My labor was so fast and easy this go around. I had just had my 39w appointment the afternoon before and was 3cm and she did a membrane sweep. Contractions started around 1am but I brushed them off as gas for a couple hours before I realized what was really happening. Haha. My husband had just gotten home from work at 2:30am so I wanted him to rest while I got through early labor, so I went downstairs. Around 5am contractions were 3 minutes apart so I called my mom to come over to stay with the kids. I got Wes up just shortly before she got here at 6am and we left right away. Got to the hospital at 6:30am and was rushed into triage where I was told I was a whopping 7cm! Woohoo! Got my epidural at 8am, was 9cm at 9am, and a little after 10 they came and told me it was time to push. He came out in 3 pushes between 2 contractions. Such a world of difference between this labor and my last two 20+ hour labors with pitocin involved and getting stuck at 9cm for forever. Haha.
I hope you are all settling in as a family of five
We are! Wes went back to work last week, but my mom came and helped for a few days. Tomorrow will start my first full week with no extra hands. We’re in a pretty good groove now though, so I’m hoping we all survive. Haha.
