Weekend ramblings

I know there are very few of us on here on the weekend but since I am in the middle of a blizzard thru tomorrow night, I am stuck at home and bored. I have already done all my laundry, vacuumed the house, cleaned both bathrooms and put fresh sheets on my bed. It is only 3PM on Saturday, I have a long way to go until this storm is over.

What is happening in your world, any juicy gossip?

I'm impressed with your productivity. I can't believe you're stuck in a blizzard in APRIL.

Nothing too exciting here right now. I wish I had some juicy gossip! I'm just heading to the laundromat and then I'll be getting ready to go to a baseball game.

I am usually lazy as all can be in these conditions but my niece is in labor at the hospital and I am pacing around waiting for my great nephew to arrive.     The bummer is I probably won't be able to go until Monday to see them, and she really wanted me there as soon as he is born but again - we are in a damn blizzard IN APRIL!

Congratulations on your soon-to-arrive great nephew! That's exciting. No wonder you needed to channel that energy elsewhere. I saw a picture from one of my old co-workers on FB that was almost entirely white. She said it was the worst blizzard she's been in. I can't even imagine. I hope everyone stays safe.

I'm in the blizzard as well. Roads are atrocious. Last night, it got really nasty and Dd's employer put them all up in their hotel so they didn't have to drive, which is awesome! I'm chilling on my couch watching Netflix tonight.

I met a guy in real life last night, which was totally unexpected. He was middle school flirty and asked my friend for my number this morning cuz he chickened out last night. So we've been texting today and probably getting together soon.

I am here too. Nothing much to report, weather is good but rainy. I met some fun people this morning at a beer release--already friends on FB.

My random is this: I am so so sick of my family expecting me to give/lend them money all the damn time. One cousin (who I NEVER even talk to by the way) called me and asked me to borrow $3400 a few weeks ago. Told him no. Then he goes and borrows it from my grandma, who by the way, doesn’t have any effing money to spare. I’m livid. Now this morning another cousin (who I’m actually close with) calls me to “ask me a tax question”. What she was really doing was laying her money woes at my feet in hopes I’d offer to help. No, just no. This shit happens over and over again with my family and I’m done. I’m just done.

Ok, felt good to get that out.

Dad back in hospital going on month 3~ I'm so burnt out and feel so sorry for him.

Nico's GF broke up with him last night, 3 days before his birthday my heart breaks for him. He didn't see it coming...they have been together for 3 years. He called me crying...and he NEVER cries

Baby arrived last night about 11PM. Him and momma are doing great. She was texting me at 7AM. He has the BIGGEST chubby cheeks and a ton of black curly hair.
My neighbor who has a big old 4 wheel drive truck has offered to drive me to the hospital, so I might take him up on that in a few hours. There is no way my car will make it thru these huge snow drifts.

Yeah I decided to start doing some meal prepping for the week instead.

My dad and I walked the 5k in exactly 1 hour and 3 minutes. Pretty good considering we just walked and talked the whole time. Then we did a little exploring and had brunch. It was nice to spend a morning with him.

Oh man mags, I’m sorry on both counts. It’s so hard to watch the ones we love suffer whether physically or emotionally.
