thoseareradishes , sorry about your kitty and the thrush! Hope it gets better soon.
mpc , I had been waiting to reply until I was on my computer because I had a jpeg file with a big list of what contrasts are safe for breastfeeding and which ones aren't, and the vast vast majority of them are fine. So I just spent like 15 minutes searching my computer for that file but I can't find it now! All that to say, if you do end up needing a scan while breastfeeding, I would not ask the radiologist because they tend to be very err on the side of telling you to pump and dump (they tell our patients to all the time, probably because they just don't know and want to be safe, when they don't need to). Your OB might be a better resource, but if you have any lactation department at your hospital, they would probably be the best. They might have a list they can give you while you are there, or have a phone number you can call for questions if you are already discharged/home by the time you end up getting the scan. Hope that helps!
So I had my first OB appointment this week, I was so excited to finally be there. The NP was doing my health history and was going to do the scan for measurements, but my doc kept popping his head in to see if she was doing the scan yet because he said he wanted to see this baby we'd been waiting so long for! Haha then he mentioned he had read all my notes in the chart from the RE office, I cringe to think how long that must have taken with the probably couple hundred emails back and forth with that office alone. So then we had our first abdominal scan, which surprised me cuz I thought it would still be vaginal, but sure enough we could see baby jumping around. I measured 12 weeks at 11w4d, heart rate was 152 or something close to that. We took a little video of the scan to send to our moms, though we had to edit the first couple of seconds because the NP student in the room mentioned the sex while commenting on baby's movement. We know the sex from PGS but are still deciding if/when we want everyone else to know. I had a ton of bloodwork done including NIPT, and have my NT scan scheduled for next Wednesday. Now I don't have an OB appointment for another month! I'm normal, yay! Still looking/feeling bloated all the time, and wondering when it officially switches from bloat to bump.
ivy & cactuscookie, I decided to pull the plug and do potty training this weekend. A is doing well so far, I guess, although I have nothing to compare it to. I think her biggest problem is not knowing exactly how to pee at will. She's happy to sit on the toilet, and she knows when pee is coming, but she seems to have issues releasing it at will on the toilet. She's pretty good at holding it though, so at least there's that? I'm exhausted, but it's not as terrible as I feared it would be.

Hey! I thought we were all going to slack together, and then you went and ruined the curve!

I'm glad it's going fairly well.
Our convo last week made me wonder if I should just rip off the band-aid, especially after she had a couple of instances of dry diapers after a couple of hours and then enthusiastically used the potty. Maybe we'll give it a go this weekend. Keep us updated!! She'll do great
cactuscookie , well I'm on day 3 and wish I was still slacking. It was so tempting to send her to daycare today, but figured the extra day at home would help. Maybe? She is all about the toilet. So happy to get up on her stool and push her pants down all by herself. She'll sit for awhile on it, too. And she seems to know when she needs to pee. BUT our big problem is she hasn't figured out how to release the pee into the toilet. So she'll hold it forever, try to sit on the toilet a bunch of times, and finally have an accident not 2 minutes after her last toilet attempt. Day 1 went so well! She peed on the toilet 2 full pees. But there haven't been full pees on the toilet since, and I'm starting to lose my mind here.

Daycare is one of the reasons I'm stalling. I keep thinking that maybe Memorial Day, when we have a 3-day weekend...but we'll probably end up too busy and won't want to make the commitment. Plus, if all goes well, that's only a week after we move.
But, H did poop in the potty today!!! More by luck than design - it was her standard "I pooped, I go sit on potty!", except she hadn't pooped, but she still wanted to sit on the potty, and then she pooped in the potty. Yay H! Maybe this will all magically click without us having to actually do any work. (Because that's how parenting works, right?)
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
