This is my first year doing a traditional anniversary gift. We are celebrating 8 years in May, and the traditional gift is bronze. I ordered my H engraved bronze collar stays since he wears collared shirts everyday from work. I went on etsy and searched for bronze anniversary gifts.
Etsy has a lot of nice copper anniversary gifts for 7 years. I saw engraved key chains, collar stays, cuff links
I did the same but didn’t see anything I really liked. DH is super simple...I don’t even think he would use a keychain if I got one for him. He also doesn’t have to dress up much for work so things like that are out. I will do more searching though...even if I get something that isn’t very practical it seems like they aren’t expensive so it’s not the end of the world. I got him a wood bottle opener for 5 years and we use it all the time. Was hoping to find something similar for this year. I will probably do a small traditional gift and then focus more on an experience gift since I know he will appreciate that.
I got DH an engraved penny with the year we got married and a copper keychain that said, "DILF." It embarrassed him greatly, but I think he actually has it on his keychain.

That is seriously awesome and hilarious! Just might do that!
I found this article (from the Nest, GASP) that suggests wool & copper items and trip themes. LIST
I like the engraved penny ideas. Other than that, from the article they suggest a wool gift to go with a winter trip (i.e. skiing). I like that too, since you could make a scarf or something and hand them a card that says "to wear [insert trip]."
