Anyone do it at home? Or have it done professionally? Do you think it lives up to the hype?
The GloPRO tool seems to get the most positive reviews. I'm hesitant to spend $200... however that's about the cost of my clairisonic and that was well worth its price.
I'm considering buying one. I found a blog of a local gal who's aestitician recommended the 0.25mm KoiDerma Skin roller. It's $12 on Amazon, as are many other brands. Why is this one $200? The LED pulse?
My first results when googling shows me a woman with third degree burns all over her face. I’m really scared now.
The horror stories are awful, but seem to be mostly a result of combining very deep microneedling (>1mm) with a chemical treatment. The at home devices are all 0.25-0.3 mm.
I want to try it on my stretch marks. Poking my face seems scary. Instead I'm just going to sand paper my face off with microdermabrasion. Lol.

I know aestiticians offer microneedling for stretch marks and treat with vit c & e with hylauronic acid (or some crazy 'vampire' version which is your own plasma peptides that have been used in joint and ligament surgeries).
Seems reasonable. It creates microdamage on your skin which stimulates healing, including increased collagen production. Seems like adding vitamin c serum would help that along.
I will let you know if I end up doing it. A skin infection would be no joke so I'm taking it seriously if I consider doing it.
Update, the GLOPro is on Notdstrom’s Anniversary sale for $170 but includes the eye tool and a few other goodies, plus gift w purchase. Retail is $270. Sooooo I bought it! The reviews are pretty great. I’ll post back abt what I think!
