For two-ish days, Camden started sleeping REALLY crappy and hardly eating. He would wake up from naps crying - NOT like him. And the naps were super short. He would drink 1-2 ounces, then bite the nipple and cry. Weird. I thought it was teething.
Yesterday he developed a serious runny nose. By bedtime, he couldn't breath out of his nose at ALL, no matter how much I sucked it out. He was beyond fussy, crying nonstop. Still wouldn't eat. Wouldn't sleep. And then since he can't breath out of his nose, he couldnt suck on his binky and soothe himself to sleep. Eventually he came into our bed so I could prop him on a pillow. Cried himself to sleep breathing out of his mouth. We got 3 hours - yay! lol. We have a doctors appointment at 1:30, so they'll obviously tell me for sure. But what do you guys think? Sound like an ear infection? Or is he just the biggest baby when it comes to teething? haaha, jk.

I'm conflicted, it sounds like it could be either. I know DD1 would get a runny nose when she was teething. I've never dealt with ear infections (knock on wood). Glad you are getting him to the Dr. Let us know what the verdict is!
I've heard some babies get runny noses when teething.
Also, the ONLY thing that made him happy yesterday was when I rubbed an icey teether on his gums. I think that was the only time he smiled! Maybe its a combo of both?

If he doesn't have a fever, I would guess teething. All the symptoms are pretty similar, so when DS had an ear infection at 15 months, the fever was the only way I knew it wasn't teething.

We've got an appointment at 10:30 because Lexi is miserable. I've been thinking it was teeth but she has developed a cough. Poor sick babies. Hope your LO gets better soon!
