Ladies, we made it! Tell us something funny/good about this week.
So mine is a story about a conversation I had at the airport yesterday. I walk up to the gate to catch my flight. I'm wondering why everyone is standing around when we should be boarding and I quickly realize the plane isn't there yet. So I start walking away thinking I'll grab a bottle of water. This guy is frantically making his way toward the gate. He stops me saying, "excuse me, what zone are they boarding?". I say, "They aren't boarding. The plane isn't here yet." He goes, "Oh, I rushed for no reason. So they aren't boarding at all yet? Que this face

YAYAY! I can't wait for this weekend. Nothing much planned but looking forward to some downtime. I am going to the market tomorrow with a friend, which I'm excited about. I feel like we are starting the good fruit/veggie trend with spring so yay!
My funny story...I'm a bit foggy this week with allergies. I had a webex meeting earlier this week. I dialed in to my conference bridge right on time. I wasn't worried that no one else was on as some of them are often late. One minute goes by, then two...After five minutes I looked at the invite and realized the call wasn't on MY conference bridge, it was on someone else's. Oops.

Yay for the weekend! I'm hoping to get my broccoli, cauliflower, brussels sprouts, sweet potatoes, and sunflowers planted this weekend. DH and I might fly out to a new spot for dinner tonight. Teaching on Sunday. Other than that, nothing planned, which is a-ok by me!
I've been googling 80s makeup trends this morning since one of my pole routines that I'm currently working on is to "Pour Some Sugar on Me." It's a lot of fun!
Yay! Nothing funny to share, but a brag - I was/am frustrated with being out of shape, so I signed up for a DietBet, a weight-watchers knockoff (an app that has replicated their points and tracking tools), and started a workout program (because if you're going to do things which are the suck, might as well do it all at once, right?). I have somehow lost 8 freaking pounds since Sunday. That more than hits my Dietbet goal (4% weight loss in 4 weeks), and I'm hopeful I'll keep losing a couple pounds along the way as I get in better shape. I know it's most likely water weight at the moment, but 8 lbs still feels good to lose in a matter of days!
I just had 9 yards of mulch dumped in my driveway this morning, so we have a fun weekend of yard work ahead of us.
It's also M's birthday on Sunday. We're going to do dinner/movie (Infinity war) on Saturday night, then have his parents over on Sunday for lunch (and I guess they'll get to admire our steaming pile of mulch if we haven't finished spreading it by then, LOL).

EVERY little bit of weight loss counts in my book. My H and I have lost almost 60lbs between the two of us since January 23. It has felt amazing to wear clothes that I haven't been able to squeeze into in years. I have 15 more to go. Keep it up Chalupa! You can do it.

I just got off the phone with the pastry chef. We are doing 2-3 different cakes (i.e. flavor combinations) and 2 different types of desserts. I am DROOLING thinking about this.
I took myself out for a sushi lunch. I'm the only one here! But it's peaceful.
This week has been weird at work. Top management issues. But i have a work wife and work husband who I've come to regard as dear friends, so it is really good to have them there as support and sounding boards.
Overall things are good with the new guy. He communicates everything to.death. which is positive but also tiring after a point. I'm keeping an eye out to see if it's something i can handle long term or if it will fade once we've found a good rhythm.
No funny stories from the week that I can think of. BUT today I FINALLY settled with my insurance company!!! It's done and over with!!! I got $2,000 less than I was really hoping for, but $3,000 more than her initial offer, so I'm happy about it all.
