What kind of progesterone cream do you have? If it's OTC, you might be better off calling your doctor to get something prescribed. I don't have issues with a too short luteal phase but I do take progesterone to regulate my anovulatory cycles, and it makes my luteal phase longer when I ovulate.

My RE isn’t super worked up about luteal phase length (apparently the data on it is somewhat inconclusive), but if it was under 10 days she would prescribe progesterone. Will your doctor check your progesterone 7dpo to see if it’s sufficient levels at least? While I get that they don’t want to start interventions until you meet the infertility diagnostic criteria, it’s pointless to force that waiting time if you have data to indicate there may be a problem that could prevent success. Is it possible to get another opinion from a different doctor?

I can call and ask her. I'll definitely be getting a second opinion since I plan on moving to a new OBGYN anyway, but I have to wait until my new (better) insurance kicks in come July 1 and have more options for providers. I kind of got stuck with her based on my last shitty insurance.
She was a little eye-rolly with me previously since I'm 32 and have regular periods, and I'm generally anxious. I think she thinks I'm just being overdramatic.
Who knows, maybe nothing is wrong. But I can tell you I inew something was off with me from the beginning and now here we are a gazillion months later and still not pregnant. The stress of worrying about it is a lot to handle too, and if there is a problem waiting isn’t going to help solve it.
I had luck with b-6 and b-12 supplementation. I did both since megadoses of b-6 can mask b-12 deficiency.
I still supplement even though I am not ttc because I start spotting each month and my cycle was getting shorter. It has stabilized and lengthened recently.
My luteal phase is 9-10 days (so 9.5?). It took close to a year to conceive my now 2 year old, and we’re now over a year innto ttc #2.
That's what I was afraid of Did you take anything to try to lengthen it?
I took some B100 complex and it had some (though minimal) effect. When I spoke to the RE about the length, though, he wasn’t concerned. I’m also old, so that may have played into it as much as anything.
