I have multiple quarterly reports due this week so today (and this week) will be super busy.
Best part of the weekend was that a friend surprised me yesterday as she stopped by with a 5 year cancerversary gift. She bought me a nice bottle of champagne and an inspiring book. It was really thoughtful and unexpected.

I was dreading trying to stay awake this morning, since I was up late working last night. What I should have been dreading was forgetting my work laptop at home and not realizing it until I got all the way into the office (a 40-minute commute) and had to turn around and go back and get it, thus wasting almost an hour and a half of my morning and having to skip my personal training session to make up the time. Booooooooo.
Best part of my weekend was Saturday, when DH and I flew to a nice restaurant to have dinner. And I finished choreographing my routine to "What Does the Fox Say" for my studio's upcoming Kids' Show.
I'm dreading having to make ANOTHER doctor's appointment but I know getting my foot checked out is important. It's still aching.
The best part of my weekend was Friday night out with one of my friends. We always have fun together and are never worried about guys, so it's just a fun, relaxed night.
The weekend was a good combo of friends and new guy. I saw jersey boys with my friends, which was amazing. Then spent sat and part of sun with the new guy. The weekend went by way too quickly.
I also saw the new avengers on Sunday aaaand omg. Omgomg so so so good.
This is the first day at work that I haven’t felt buried in months. Still have a ton to do, it I’m so excited not to have any major/competing deadlines that I don’t mind.
Weekend was pretty good. Still trying to figure out what needs to be modified at home now that my dad’s there.
Oh hey, Monday afternoon blahs over here. The weekend was good, but as always - too short.
Friday M and I started digging through our delightful (sarcasm) mountain of mulch. We got about 2 hours of work in before the rain started, and I swear - that pile was like eating a bowl of lo mein noodles- we kept filling wheelbarrows and carting them off to flower beds, and that darn pile never shrunk.
Saturday I got up bright and early to go to the barn (IN THE COLD, because it was suddenly below freezing at night and only 50 again in the day), then came home to move more mulch. We gave up after another couple hours and instead assembled the just-delivered patio furniture. Yay patio! Then we cleaned up to go out for dinner and a movie for M's birthday (Avengers - so good!).
Sunday I did the early morning barn trip again, because we were meeting M's family for lunch. We went to this place that specializes in grilled cheese sandwiches. I had grilled cheese stuffed with Mac and Cheese and buffalo chicken. I want another one right now! And then I came home and slept off that carb coma until at least 6pm, LOL
ETA: Things I'm dreading: My daily "state of my kitchen floors" call to Lowes. We are all agreed that their subcontractor caused all the damage, but the sub is very obviously being as slow as possible in responding. I now have a dedicated rep at Lowes who is working with me to get it fixed, and while she's very nice and apologetic, I just want this freaking fixed. In case you're all wondering how long this has gone on, my timeline is: Jan 5 ordered the dishwasher Feb 15 the installer no-showed us and didn't even bother to call March 8 finally got the dishwasher installed March 11 notified Lowes it was leaking and there was damage to the kitchen floor and basement ceiling March 30 a different lowe's installer came out to fix the dishwasher
And here we are, last week of April. Still not fixed.
I had a really good weekend. Celebrated my birthday all weekend and saw my sister. The crappy part was my power steering system deciding to act up and lose all of the fluid. But it looks like an easy fix.
My weekend was actually good all around. Saturday the weather was perfect. I went and walked around a festival with a few friends. Afterwards we grabbed a casual dinner and I was home by 9pm. Sunday was another beauty so me and a neighbor took the pup on a long walk ending at a restaurant that allows dogs on the patio. We had a late brunch there with a few drinks nd then walked home. Last night I lounged on the couch and went to bed early.
