See this monstrosity? It is our fabulous 1982 furnace, which is getting replaced today (along with our not-much-younger AC). I am looking forward to not paying to fire up this giant thing every time the temperature drops.
That is the extent of my excitement for the day, though.
Oh wow chalupa, that's quite the relic! Congrats on getting it replaced.
I'm proud of myself for cooking last night even though I was tired. I packed my lunch for today and it's nice to have it all ready, makes my morning a little easier.
Good news is that I already received the results of my x-rays. No breaks, no fractures, no dislocations or misalignments. I thought it was interesting that they also commented on how the soft tissue looked (good). That's a relief, though of course I worry what the cause is now. My excitement will be at craft night this evening, using foam insoles to create padding to put in the front of my jazz shoe.
Did anyone see Black-ish last night? Ooof, it was a tear jerker. I thought it was a really good depiction of the end of a marriage. Cue me crying lol!
I took Friday off and was supposed to have a ladies day with my bff, but she just changed plans and can't hang. That sucks, but I've decided I'm going to use the day for painting my front door. I plan to make it purple because why the heck not? Next, I need to figure out if I repaint the shutters/mailbox/house numbers to match the door or black.
My friend is getting Prince of Nigeria catfished and as much as she says she realizes it's a scam, she's still communicating with him. Like he got her to move money from "his" bank account to another account because he's on a ship in the ocean and can't get on the internet (but can communicate with her?). Block block block!

Not much going on here. I volunteered to teach a party at my studio at 8 pm tonight, and I'm regretting it. It's an hour, and I have a 45-min drive home, so between cleanup and everything, I won't be home until 10 pm, and I'm exhausted already today. Oh well.
She knows it's a scam but she still moved money doriswe ?!?!?!?! I mean, I'm sorry, I know you said she's a friend but how can anyone be that stupid?!?!
I ordered a new one piece on-line this weekend and it should come today. I'm so excited to get it and try it on. I don't normally like to on-line shop for clothes but this suit was just too cute to pass up. I just have to be disciplined enough to actually return it if I don't end up liking it.
It's another gorgeous day here today AND work is stupid slow right now. That's my favorite combination for a random Wednesday. Yes, I'm going to take advantage of this combo!

Right?? RIGHT??? 1. it's probably money laundering and 2. it's a great way to blackmail someone to keep doing illegal things for you. I don't get it. I seriously don't.
I took myself out to lunch and then browsed at Target. I found the cutest red dress. Thank goodness I work in a business casual office because that’s pretty much the only way I can wear it (still have to add a blazer or cardigan). It’s cute and totally out of my comfort zone, but I’m going with it.
You ever have one of those days where you feel like management is having meetings without you? Today is one of those days for me.
Glad it’s finally Wednesday, but I need Friday to hurry up and get here.
Wait what?? doriswe isn't that your on-call crisis job? WTF?
yup. The supervisor is a super snatch and 6ish weeks ago, sent me this totally bitchy email questioning my commitment and saying I don't contribute in meetings. I went to her supervisor about it, who confirmed I was doing what I was supposed to do and has seen me contribute every meeting. This week she sent my annual review and everything was good except she said I'm not taking the required number of shifts (which I always have). So she can screw off. I was thinking about quitting a few months ago and this just tipped the scales. I feel awful because three other staff quit in April and they're short staffed but I can't work for her anymore.
This was just the straw that broke the camel's back. There were a few years of other general asshattery prior to this.

That is absolutely ridiculous. I'm glad you resigned.
I've been thinking about doing something like that here, but it would be a whole change into that career from what I do now, I don't think there's any part-time on call type of position. I might PM you questions if that's okay.

absolutely! I really did enjoy going out and doing assessments.
Hi all from Thailand. I think I might just stay here. Phuket is gorgeous.the people are friendly and the food is beyond amazing. Street food to regular restaurants everything is good.
Today I went to an elephant sanctuary. They help injured and abused elephants have a new home. So I got to feed them, slather them in mud, get sprayed with mud by them, rinse them and scrub them. It was amazing. They are so awesome.
