I bought a new primer skincare product. Now that my skin is in a good place I want to find a primer that will work for me.
It's a k-beauty product - J. One Jelly Pack. I thought snail mucin was weird. This stuff is the most bizarre product I've ever put on my face.
It's like thick snail mucin, almost the consistency of Elmer's glue but clear. I 'finger paint' it on my skin and let it set. It gets really sticky and makes my face gets tight like Elmer's glue is drying on it. And after a few minutes my skin feels super hydrated and baby soft.
I'm getting ready to put makeup on. I will let you know how well it works as a primer.
This sounds so weird, and I’m dying to know how it works out for you.
I love this stuff! It is truly bizarre though. What did you think SallyJ?
I used my ebates check to pick up the Soft Glam palette. It’s my first non- Urban Decay palette and I haven’t tried it yet, but the shadows feel so smooth and finely-milled upon swatching!
I used it yesterday over my normal hydrating products (Manyo galactomyces niacin hylauronic acid and Clinique gel mosturizer). My make-up blended ok, but it felt almost tacky and didn't blend as well as without it. Like it wasn't quite dry? My makeup stayed put though. It looked fresh after 8 hours of wear.
I wore it tonight without any other skin prep besides washing. It dried down much faster and my makeup blended well. My makeup still looks perfect after 6 hours. I noticed my t-zone feeling a little more oily than I normally experience, but it doesn't look oily.
And no breakouts so far. I still want to use it more before deciding if it stays in the routine, but I won't return it.
In the next few days I will be trying the J. One black jelly pack. It looks and feels like blueberry jelly.
I'm having irrationally sad feelings about using up an essence that I like that is discontinued. But, if I don't finish it up, it will go bad. Also, no one needs 3 different open essences.
My new obsession: finding the "perfect" foundation brush. I thought the It cosmetics double ended one from QVC was going to be nice and big and fluffy from what I saw on videos but Mariah Leonard and Shay Mitchell must have tiny faces that makes the brush look comparatively huge.
The ones I'm eyeing are some of the Marc Jacobs brushes, seems like Face II is a favorite. Also the It cosmetics buffing one (I think it's the #110?). I also want a new fluffy concealer brush but I could probably use the foundation side of the double ended brush for concealer.
Also I ordered the Nars Orgasm lip balm last night and used the code GoodGood for a 7 day sample foil packets of Sunday Riley Good Genes
I needed to restock my basic cleanser. And there's a nice spf free gift right now at ulta. and 5x points on mario badascu plus TWO free gifts there. So I just placed an order for some restocks of my standbys and I'm getting more free shit than stuff I actually paid for. I love that.

I am going to take advantage of the same promos plus my Too Face. ALL THE POINTS! That GWP is the first one that has really interested me in a long time.
That Ulta gift this morning is fantastic!!! I missed the Sephora sun safety kit, so I was happy to see that. There are also a ton of GWP right now. I'm going on vacation in three weeks, so I needed some sunscreen minis and a few things for that. I've been wanting to try some Klorane products, so I picked up some fun travel shampoo and conditioner, plus got a free hair oil from them, and then I grabbed a four piece Coola travel kit because I love their sunscreen, and got an extra Coola mini with that. Plus the 6 piece free gift. I don't even mind that I didn't get any point bonus because the freebie gifts are so good.

Y’all! I had to get my license today in person, new photo. Did a simple, classic makeup look. Made sure my hair was reasonable...and I still took a terrible photo. And plus also, my blush looks rediculous in the photo...like clown cheeks. And that is not how they look in real life at all, it’s actually pretty light. What.the.fuck.

you'd have to bring your own lighting rig to get a decent picture there. Like one of those blogger ring lights.
Ugh- I have a rash on my face. I noticed it when I went to brush my teeth before bed last night. it showed up sometime between dinner and 10pm. I'm not sure what it's from. I didn't eat anything new and literally the only things I used on my face in the last 24 hours was sunscreen that I've used before and a lactic acid serum (which is brand new, but I used it before bed on sat night and the rash didn't appear until a full 24 hours later). I used cold compresses and some calming sheet masks last night and this morning. It's somewhat better this morning, but I still had to cake on the foundation to cover it up.
I totally spaced on needing to buy refills of my Drunk Elephant day serum during the Sephora sale. And now I'm all out.
The DE packaging might protect the ingredients but it's terrible for letting you know when you are about to run out.
Me toooooooo. I’m hoping my glycolic serim lasts till the fall sale. Dermstore doesn’t carry it anymore, and they were my go to bc of their good sales.

If you haven't signed up on the DE website, they give you a 15% off code to use on their site. Unless you're waiting to buy at Sephora for points.
I'm not sure how accurate it is, I haven't found any official statement and I was still able to put some of those items in my cart. But who knows! I hope its not true.
I hope it’s not true too. That stuff expires so it’s not like I can stock up too much. I could see them cracking down on sellers that are getting complaints of counterfeit products though. I don’t see why they’d get rid of products that have basically all 5 star reviews and that people are obviously reordering. Plus Biore isn’t some unheard of brand here in the US.
