I have to go in for a blood draw today or tomorrow. Other than that, just working like normal and trying to catch up on laundry after ignoring it during our week of remodeling. I'm astounded at how much clothing we went through. lol.
No plans for Friday or Saturday yet. I think H will keep working on the house a bit, since we still have a few things left to do. My mom is going to come over on Sunday, and we're planning to have a low key day at the house.
We have a fun Saturday planned that I'm looking forward to. G will participate in a kids race then we will go downtown. All sorts of stuff will be set up - games, face painting, scavenger hunt, ice cream truck. We went last year and had a blast.
MIL was suppose to be OOT on Saturday but has now ditched that idea so we can all go out to her house for dinner/Mother's Day celebration. I'm just blah about it. This was suppose to be a special family day for us and it bugs me that she just decided to change it all. Oh well. Is what it is kinda deal.
Sunday DH leaves for NY again. 1 more week away and he will be done with OOT trips. Just wanting to get past the trips at this point.
DS had an eye appointment this morning so that threw off my routine. Trying to find my groove now since today is my WFH day.
Tomorrow - need to go vote and have a hematologist appointment.
Saturday - my mom and DS's godmother are hosting a luncheon to celebrate baby girl.
In excellent news, I finally finished my walk in closet paint and put it back together. I'd love to buy a small dresser for the space, but there's no money in the budget for it.
In vents, this is the second weekend in a row that a bird has crapped down the driver's door of my clean car. So gross.
It's nurses' week, and my hospital is actually doing pretty good this year. We have unlimited tickets to shows at Alamo Drafthouse until Thursday, for free, and we can bring a guest. My SIL and I are seeing Tully this afternoon. I need to see if Dh wants to see Avengers tomorrow night, but we'd have to arrange a sitter.
I think we have massage therapists coming to the units on Wednesday or Thursday? Luckily I'm working both days. ON DAYS! Haha.
Hair appointment tomorrow, to bring my highlights back up and get a cut.
Need another massage this week. My neck/shoulder pain is back, though it's not as bad as before.
No real plans this week. We are supposed to hear from all 3 places H interviewed for. FX he gets an offer that works for us. I want to continue to go through stuff and packing what we don’t use.
Depending on H’s schedule, we may go to the winery Saturday.
I need to figure something out for Mother’s Day. I was thinking of hosting a Mother’s Day breakfast for my mom and a few friends but we will see.
No big plans this week. Just probably getting a few more flowers for one of the window boxes and planting those. Also need to get mother's day gifts for our moms. MIL's birthday is this week too so maybe we'll go see them this weekend (we are thinking of seeing my parents next weekend so I'll give my mom her actual gift then and just mail the card!).
We finally saw Black Panther this weekend, so we're all caught up to watch Avengers, and now we have to figure out when we can go.
We have a niece's birthday dinner on Saturday. I'm sure our parents thought the same thing, but the things kids want these days are so stupid.
BIL and FSIL are coming into town this weekend. We haven't seen them in a while, but fitting in seeing them this weekend is not ideal. We normally have lunch with my mom on Mother's Day, so I'm going to see if we can switch that around this year to have lunch with them before they head out.
Any ideas for getting rid of a squirrel family in our garage? Mama was hanging out in there (in the top area mostly, I don't think she's ventured further down very Patten ). Now she has 2 babies and she's angry. There's a hole at the bottom of the roof they go in and out of (we used to have birds nesting there and they'd fall out into the garage.. poor things). Today she was yelling at H so I had him pull the car out because I was worried she'd attack one of us. It was kinda funny, I yelled "I see you!" at her poking her head out and she yelled back at me, haha. Anyways, I want them out of the garage and further away so no one gets attacked, especially the kids! Any ideas?
Got home from NC around 5:30. My cousin the bride was a bitch-zilla. She told her mom if she had any comments to make she could leave the premises. And then called the bridesmaids the r word. My immediate family will not be keeping in touch with that cousin any more. Her sisters are super sweet though, not sure what happened!
Tomorrow I have bloodwork in the morning. Work Tuesday, Wed, Thurs. Friday I am having uterine polyps removed.
grover Weddings and babies either bring out the best or the worst in relationships. I've seen it happen! One of my best friends in college is someone I don't speak too now after she treated her bridesmaids so poorly You think you know a person! Good luck with your procedure!!!
So, I got my Mom some nice bath bombs for Mother's day. Only, I just remembered they did away with that nice bath they had and got a fancy shower. Maybe she can use them in the two upstairs bathrooms? *face palm*
MrsMB- does your mom still enjoy taking a bath and uses either of the other two tubs? If so, then absolutely!! We don’t have a bath tub in our master but have one downstairs and upstairs...I would love a bath but neither of those two are appealing so I don’t (downstairs is too close to where DH watches tv and the other is the boys’ which is right next to their rooms...so no real relaxing/private space). Maybe i would upstairs if I was older and didn’t have little kiddos on those rooms.

She has previously. They got rid of the tub for my Dad. He's had hip replacement surgery. They're empty nesters now so taking a bath upstairs isn't a biggie.
I'm recovering really well from my surgery but still can't really eat solid food. awick14 I only took prescription meds the night of, just on Tylenol now.
I am however, very cranky either from lack of sleep, parenting stuff, recovery, or serotonin/hormonal imbalance.
Thursday: Swimming Friday: Story time Saturday: Trade show Sunday: Mother's Day, luncheon with female relatives, stuff with DH & C
Vent: I was planning to go out on Friday night but no one will confirm so I can buy tickets! In my current mood I just want to stay home forever so I wish people would be more eager to go out so that I am too!
MrsMB : I googled it and the popped up - "Drop one aromatherapy shower steamer at the far end of the bathtub, away from the stream of water. You can sprinkle a little bit on the steamer to get it started, but it will fizz away too quickly if you put it directly under the water stream. Sit in your steamy shower, breathing in the awesome aromatherapy benefits of the blend you chose to use!" Source So you don't get the bubbles, just the scent.

My super awesome high tech new car has a feature where you can hold down the unlock button and all the windows roll down and the sunroof opens. That's great....except I apparently hold it down by accident all the time while going out to my car. It just down-poured for at least 2 minutes...maybe more, depending on how long they were open before I was able to make it out the building to roll them up. Dealership says it can't be changed. I have one of those cars that start up by pushing a button too.
How do I get the moisture out? It's still raining so I can't let it air our.

Oh MrsMB, that sucks! I'm sorry. DH's car got a bunch of water init once when our street flooded, but I forget now what he did to get it out. Helpful, I know.

It's OK, thanks for letting me know I'm not alone The dealership said they can't turn that function off of the remote. The second person I talked to said there's a case that can cover it to prevent buttons being pushed accidentally. I found one on Amazon. It's sunshine now (projected through the rest of the day), so I have windows and sunroof cracked. But I'll be monitoring my own office Window to double check it though until I leave. Bummed the new car smell may be vamos Boo....Luckily the dealer said the material is anti-mold.

((Hugs)) MrsMB. Maybe leave the doors open and have a fan blowing on it tonight to have it dry faster? Not sure if that’s a good idea though because you might end up with a dead battery (unless you can disable the lights so they aren’t turned on when the doors are open). My dad has his own carpet cleaning business and he uses fans and humidifiers for this kind of stuff (humidifier wouldn’t be necessary though since the fabric is anti mold).

I did my thyroid lab yesterday and got a call from the doctor’s office to cal back. I missed the call and didn’t realize until they were closed for today. I am a little anxious to know how bad the results are...totally my fault because I have not been good about taking my medication since we switched insurance last year. I need to get back to being consistent about it. Will be calling the doctor tomorrow morning.
luv2rn4fun - That’s funny, I had my thyroid labs done yesterday, too. Haha. I haven’t heard anything back from my doctor yet, though. I’m assuming that’s good news.

Yes, probably good news!! She did my pap and those results were released and I was notified via the patient portal. Between that and expecting them to be bad I know that it’s not good news (totally my fault though...it hasn’t been monitored since we switched insurance and I haven’t been motivated to be consistent).
luv2rn4fun Hope the results are better than expected!
Yeah, we had a fan turned on last night in the garage and let it air out. It did end up getting sunny. It was projected to stay that way. I was able to crack my windows for hours before getting the fan on it.
