Does everyone use nightlights? We have one in DS1's room, but I'm not even sure you can tell there's one in there. If he wakes up he turns on his animal machine to go back to sleep.
We moved DS2 to his room last night and I'm trying to figure out what to do in there. We left a light on in our room for when he woke up MOTN, so he's not used to total darkness.
I'm thinking of getting a nightlight until he's old enough to turn on a machine like DS1's. It would have to be one with a cord because there's no good outlets to use.
Do you think a nighlight is necessary? How much light should it give off? We have the munchkin owl one that I left on when I put him down, but that doesn't stay on all night.
We had a cheap one in E's room but he pulled it out and didn't want it anymore a while ago. H got shocked by one when he was little so when E took it out himself, it was gone, lol. He has a Chase (Paw Patrol) light next to his bed that auto shuts off that he uses to read at night. We also have a push light right inside the door if we need to go in when it's dark (I'm blind, especially in the dark, lol). That's been sufficient for us!

R doesn't have one. He has a turtle light/sound machine that we put on when he goes down and he also has that munchkin owl one but it's not even in his room, he likes to carry it random places. It's worked out fine so far,
We don’t have any nightlights in either room. I think C’s whitenouse has a little light but it’s pretty dark in there. Hasn’t seemed to affect him. Our humidifier also puts off a lot of light...I don’t notice that L sleeps any better or worse when it’s in there. He wakes up multiple times nightly regardless...
Blue Moon Thank you for linking that one! I have seen it before, but couldn't remember the name to look it up. I'll probably end up getting that one because I know I'll something like that eventually.
