Am I the only one who texts DH a screenshot of my Uber driver’s info in case they turn out to be a serial killer? DH thinks this is hilarious and alarming in equal parts. Lol. It makes me feel better though.
I don’t do it for Ubers because I assume the police will follow the electronic trail. But I do it for cab drivers! The little card with their name and driver number that hangs from the headrest is so convenient. I’m paranoid about snapping the pic so generally look like I’m taking a selfie in case they are paying attention....Now who sounds crazy??
Random news... my colleague's people have reported to another EVP (different division) that if he gets fired, he's taking our analyst and operations person with him. It was... interesting, to say the least.
He's also out sick today for the second time in two weeks. I'm not sure if he's interviewing or not. Because I hope he's smart enough to realize that as a guy responsible for business development, he can just say he's at a conference or prospect meeting if he really is interviewing.

As part of this month long leadership thing H is doing, he is seeing a nutritionist and healthy lifestyle person. As a result of this he is focused on things I should change, not things for himself, which is classic H. Example, instead of taking sleep aids I should practice meditation and listen to calming music, because that is totally practical given our lifestyle.
ilovelucyvv, random suggestion for you. If you're in a state where it's legal and you're open to trying it, CBD oil has been the best sleep aid I've ever had. Ever. Ever. Ever. A whole night's sleep and waking up feeling like I've had the best night sleep ever. But pricey and more effort to get, so I save it for when I've had a long stretch of bad sleep.
And tell YH that you love his suggestion, you'll just need him to take care of all the cooking, cleaning, and childcare while you meditate, listen to music, do yoga, etc. and you'll get right on it.
Thanks for the suggestion k3am but random drug testing takes place in my line of work so it’s probably too risky. I appreciate that you understand where I am coming from.
ilovelucyvv, I meditate to fall asleep, if you're open to it, it does help. It doesn't take extra time, I listen to a guided "Melt into sleep" recording as I'm laying in bed trying to wind down from the day. It's helped me stop relying on watching TV in bed to doze off. I use the 10% Happier app.

My next three weeks until school gets out is so busy. I am afraid if I make a misstep it is all going to be crashing down. I might be spinning too many plates in the air.
Also, new hire for office manager job (the one that always complained to me) is starting to complain to me too. I guess it is the job, but I have had to stop her 2 times already and say I can't be in the middle. I am not in charge of that. You two need to work it out. I can't listen to complaining already. Ugh I guess first person was right, but that doesn't mean I had to bear the brunt of it. I am afraid to move back to my office that I share with office manager because no matter who they get in will be complaining to me and coming to me for advice due to boss.

Thanks. I'll look into it. Unfortunately my problem is not just falling asleep, but staying asleep. I usually wake up about 3 times MOTN and sometimes struggle falling back asleep. I guess I could try more meditation and calming music in the MOTN :/
ugh. I have a friend who is due the day before me. She is headed to the hospital to have her little boy by the end of the week due to complications. He also has a heart defect so they were already stressed out. He will be 34+3.
DH and I are back up sitters for their girls, I just wish I could do something more for them.

You're basically me. Working out in the mornings helps. Which is... hard to convince myself to do when I'm coming off a shitty night or 8 of sleep. It doesn't help that I have a kid that doesn't sleep all that well.
ilovelucyvv , I have similar sleep issues. My mom got me a weighted blanket around Christmas time and it has helped me fall asleep much faster and get back sleep more quickly:
The blanket is supposed to be about 10% of your body weight. The blanket along with melatonin has made a big difference in my sleep quality.

Random: everytime I go through my work contacts, I'm reminded that I have Judge Judy's phone and email. It has roughly the same effect as having a good hair day.
