Hi all! How's everyone today? What's going on in your world? Tell us all the things!
I got a 90 minute massage last night and there's still plenty of tension to be worked out. My massage therapist, who's trained in sports massage, told me that he thinks way back when I first injured my foot, I probably tore a ligament. Let's see what kind of answers I get from orthopedics next week, if any. Today I go to the chiropractor after work and then dance, where I have to remember to just mark it.

Happy Thursday! I'm WFH, which is nice. DH is home, too, since he had to do a big upgrade at midnight and work through until 8 am. I have video shoots tonight, so I'm looking forward to that! I'm filming two pole routines--one to "Pour Some Sugar on Me" (I can't wait to do crazy 80s makeup!) and a partner routine to "Heathens." Should be fun!
Happy Thursday! My niece had her baby last night!!!! Well, early hours of this morning really. I waited up knowing she was pretty dilated so likely to go during the night. I'm dragging today from having been up until 2am. Worth it though.
I completely blew off work yesterday to go look at appliance, cabinets, back splashes, and counter tops with my friend who is redoing his kitchen. I love that kind of stuff. After we got done he took me for margaritas and tacos to thank me for my help. It was a fun Wednesday.
Today I have to catch up on stuff I should have done yesterday but it's nothing too taxing. I need to hit Target later and probably go for a long walk since it's really nice outside.
I’m trying to stay focused at work. Between caring for my dad and being my mom’s driver, I’m terrified something at work will slip. There are people waiting to catch that shit.
Thrilled that today is Thursday. Hoping my hockey team pulls out the W tonight; it’s been a hell of a series.
Looking forward to working remotely tomorrow even though it’s so I can take my dad to more appointments. I’m not sure what I’ll do if he’s never released to drive again.
udscoobychick how are you doing all that with your stress fracture??
Well, they did say I could continue with my normal activities... Just kidding, sort of. My foot has been feeling progressively better since Tuesday evening...walking on it does not hurt at the moment, thankfully, although certain movements do still cause it to twinge.

That's great! Mine is still aching when I bear weight on it for too long or expose it to much impact. I'm hoping I don't have to withdraw from my jazz recital. I can still do tap for sure.

I'm glad that you'll at least have tap!
I'm wondering if maybe it was tendonitis or something instead of a stress fracture, although it's still healing much faster than I expected. I'll be on my feet a lot tomorrow at the festival, so we'll see how it holds up...I'm thinking supportive shoes are a good idea.

Yes to supportive shoes! I've given up the cushioned insoles because I think they were contributing to some pronation since they didn't cover the full soles of my shoes. Hopefully there's no stress fracture and rest heals it quickly!!
