YAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I'm good. Traveled again this week. kaneen, I give you credit. I traveled back to back weeks and I'm over it, hahaha.
Tonight is seriously exciting! We are doing our dessert tasting for our reception--WOOHOO! We are trying 4 cake flavors, 4 buttercreams, and 2 mini desserts. Tomorrow I am hosting HH with some friends from HS. Sunday we are seeing our moms.
I'm sooooo excited it's Friday! Tonight I'm going to dinner/drinks with the cop and then to see Avenue Q. Tomorrow, DD and I are getting up at the ass crack of dawn to drive to Milwaukee to tour campus. We may have lunch with a dude she used to date (maybe still likes?) since he's over there.
Sunday I think I'm kid-free all day, so I'm planning to enjoy my quiet mother's day by sleeping in, cleaning and doing whatever I want!

Ha! I don't think people really get it until they experience it.
I'm excited for the weekend! This evening I'm going to get a much needed manicure. Then I'm going to come home and pour a glass of wine and find a movie to watch.
Tomorrow my friend and I are going to a festival. It's close enough to home that we can just walk. The weather is supposed to be really nice. Hot but nice.
Sunday I have nothing planned. I'll likely do some cleaning and organizing around the house.

I think I missed something. Why is she thinking of transferring?

Ugh...she's decided she hates where she's at and wants to be in a bigger city. So she's considering 3 Wisconsin schools and 1 Minnesota school, but needs to get her ish together ASAP since we have no clue where she's going to go in the fall. This is slightly complicated by her having such an awful first semester, she ended up on academic probation and transferring is a little more tricky. (She is currently getting all A's and B's, and has letters of recommendation from her academic advisor and 2 professors to help this process) The schools she is looking at all have good accounting programs and that is what she's decided to pursue.
It is opening fishing wknd here and that means nearly all the men in the state head to the lakes. So my friend is hosting a "celebrate women" party tomorrow. It is really just a reason to do some day drinking!
Sunday I am helping my mom plant some flowers and then spend the rest of the day with her doing who knows what.

bullygirl979, enjoy the tasting! doriswe, one of our local theater troupes is doing Avenue Q currently! I'm debating whether to see it again (it would be the 3rd time, and I've loved it every time lol).
A local winery is hosting live music and my favorite food truck this evening, so DH and I may swing by for dinner. Tomorrow is a beer festival that we're looking forward to (we have a hotel room within walking distance!). Sunday, I will be working remotely for a good chunk of the day and teaching in the evening, but I only have one class, so that is nice! I'll try to remember to call my mom and godmother sometime on Sunday.
This weekend I'll be sleeping in, helping to nurse the new guy back to health (he had surgery yesterday) and spending time with my momma for mother's day. She and my dad are campground hosts starting tomorrow so we'll be spending the day on the st croix river enjoying the spring air, sitting by the campfire....ahhh. it'll be so nice.
Allergies are strong right now. I had major post nasal drip yesterday. Nothing like hacking and coughing your way through the day!

I'm jealous of the tasting!
You're just not living until you send your clothes out for dry cleaning from your hotel, because you'll be back there next week and it's easier than trying to make it out to your home dry cleaners on a Saturday...just kidding, I don't miss that life one bit
I took a dive off the horse again last night - he drifted mid-air and my foot crashed into the side of the jump, knocking it down and scaring the bejeezus out of the horse, who then lurched off. I am incredibly proud of my softball-style dive under the fence, instead of smacking either the rails or worse - the reinforced posts. However, it seems I had a faulty helmet on - instead of the brim snapping off when I slid across the sand like they are supposed to do, it collapsed in towards my face, so my nose is all kinds of purple and black shades today.
And of course, we have social events planned this weekend, so I can't even stay home and keep my bruising to myself. M's friend is having a birthday party tomorrow, and we're hanging celebrating mother's day with M's family on Sunday.
Cutest thing - my parents called to tell me they are now "real" Floridians - they're taking a weekend trip to Disney for their first-ever visit. I am crossing my fingers they buy some photos with characters, because those will be absolutely priceless. But, also super proud - the reason they're going to Orlando at all is because my dad won some type of award for the volunteer work he does teaching ESL classes. Apparently he's being presented with a big "check" from Random House books (gift certificate - which he's of course going to turn around and spend on class materials). The Disney park visits are because they're already going to be in the area. SaveSave
chalupa if you don't have a full coverage concealer, need one, and have access to a Sephora, I recommend Make Up For Ever's full cover concealer.
I can't see the photo/video, but maybe because I'm on the mobile site. I liked your previous post for everything except the accident and injury.
I haven't yet tried to cover it, but if my existing concealers aren't hacking it, I actually have to make a Sephora return anyway. Thanks for the rec! SaveSave

You're welcome! It also might be a good time to try a corrector under the concealer. I had to do that when I had a black eye years and years ago.
Hi!! I’m back from Thailand. I’m jet lagged and have no concept of time. My trip was half good /half terrifying. The first half was amazing. Phuket and beach life were great. I hugged and washed elephants. Stayed in a rockstar hotel with my own private infinity pool. Back in Bangkok things went south. H got food poisoning the last night in Phuket from some shrimp. He thought he would get better so rested in our hotel. I went out for a few days exploring until he goes I need to go to the hospital on his birthday. So we went to the hospital and he was admitted overnight. They wanted to keep him longer but we had to fly home. Really scary. He’s better now but missed the entire rest of the trip. . I’m really glad he’s not sick and we could get home.
Oh my goodness neonpink, how scary for you and your H! I'm glad he was able to fly home. Also glad that the first part of your trip was good. I hope you're able to get some rest now that you're back home.
