I don't know the date, heh.
I got to sleep last night but poor H didn't; E would only sleep on his chest. She is having serious anxiety about sleeping in the crib alone. I am typing this while laying in her crib with her on my chest. Nurse wasn't too happy about it but what can I do? CT scan tomorrow then hopefully home.
thoseareradishes Oh man, I'm sorry you had such a shit weekend. I would have gotten into the crib with her, too. Sleep will help with her recovery, so she'll need to get it however she can. You are a wonderful mother.
I took A to the beach yesterday and she had a blast. But I definitely need to buy her a proper PFD because that girl has zero fear of the water, and I worry that I won't be quick enough to dive in after her if she gets out of her depth. My H also bought me this enormous hamper of goodies, including 2 bottles of wine and something called "beer brittle"... lol, whut? I've already given him his Father's Day present - potty training his child. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
thoseareradishes - so many hugs, fingers crossed you get to go home tomorrow.
We had E’s new born photos this morning and already got a sneak peak. He was so good and slept for the entire 3 hours. No poop explosions either lol. I can’t wait to see the rest.
I am finally starting to feel better, it isn’t excruciatingly painful going from sitting to standing and vice versa. The swelling still hasn’t gone down though.
thoseareradishes, desperate times call for desperate measures! I climbed in with DS when he was fussy before. I hope being at home will be better for her!
pandora89, what a cutie! DS pooped alllll over me at the end of his session, so I’m jealous. 😆
loira, I love that PT is his present! He did luck out that you did it before he came back!
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
Ughhhhh I am sick. I NEVER ever get sick. I have an icky cold, and feel achy all over. DS has a sitter on M/W, so she’s valiantly trying to keep him out of my hair so I can rest.
We had good baby progress this weekend! I found a crib H likes and ordered it, my friend offered an infant seat, and I got an extra base for that. I registered with the au pair service we’re going to use, and started working on our profile. I didn’t realize it earlier, but we should have someone start in August so that the continuation next year makes sense with our school year, plus that’s when most au pairs are looking to start.

Sooooo cute pandora89! Cal cried our entire newborn session. It was rough, lol.
I'm sorry you're sick, Mushe Interesting about the au pair! One of my mama friends is going that route too (she's also expecting #2 late summer), and while I'm jealous of the perks I just think I'm too introverted to have someone live in my house. Maybe if that person could have their own suite, but ain't happening in my city apartment! Seems like a cool deal, though. Good luck with the process!
Mushe, my friend has had 2 au pairs now and has had great experiences. I would totally go that route if we weren't living with my parents at the moment.
thoseareradishes, I liked your post just because you got some sleep finally. But man, I am so sorry you are going through all of this. You guys are doing GREAT and E is so lucky you are her mama.
loira, Sage loves the water too! And I saw the gift your H gave you--good job, H! I walked into work this morning and I work with all guys. I told them I was disappointed in my first mothers day and they all agreed G did not do a very good job, so today I had balloons, flowers and a card with an amazon gift card in there saying HAPPY 1ST MOTHERS DAY! Treat yourself! I already texted G and was like, step up your game, man.
pandora89, I LOVE HIM!!! I am glad he slept the entire time. For both of our newborn sessions S screamed through the whole thing. Hence why we have no close up shots of him, lol.
I remember getting so many colds during pregnancy, Mushe. I hope you feel better soon!
We had Cal's 18 month appointment yesterday. I can't believe how fast time is flying! My tiny nugget is still holding steady in the 10th percentile at 21 lbs, but has jumped up the growth curve height wise to 32" (35th perc). We seem to have entered the stage of toddlerhood where kids survive on air. I constantly stressing his (minimal) food intake but the pedi seemed unconcerned.
He ran his first kids race on Mother's Day, a 0.1 miler! He did great for the majority of it, but then the pull of dogs and puddles proved too big a distraction and he lost interest lol. It was pretty cute though, and then we ran a 5k together with the BOB
scm1011 , I loved the pictures of his first little race! SO CUTE. And I love that he is a little peanut still <3 Sage is almost 10 months and weighs 22# and is 31.5" and is a general actual jolly giant.
ETA: HOW on god's green earth is he 18 months?!?! YOU WERE JUST PREGNANT WITH HIM.

shauni27, the gift looked impressive, but what you don't know is that he had a coupon for it and gave me almost exactly the same thing (only smaller) last year. So there's still work to be done, haha. But I'm not too bothered because I know he's been stressed with end of semester stuff as well as the logistics of driving out here.

We got home last night. Since she had sedation for a CT scan, I think it helped her sleep. She woke up at 4:30am, H got her down for a cat nap, then she was up until about 2pm, when she fell asleep in the car. H is driving us around now. Every time we try to get her to sleep, she screams. Not sure what we're going to do tonight. Laying with her or holding her doesn't help.
On a good note, she is eating like crazy. Guess she is making up for missed meals.
thoseareradishes, I am glad you guys are home, but so sorry to hear she is uncomfortable and not sleeping well. I am assuming you guys are giving her motrin and tylenol for pain relief?
