Hi neonpink! I hope your body clock adjusts soon. What was the time difference and how long have you been back?
I'm here and doing okay. Today is a day full of fun things, which will be nice. Career Day at work, then a graduation celebration for my two outgoing trainees and one from last year, and then going to see Jaws on the rooftop of a hotel with one of my best friends.
Yesterday I went to orthopedics. Those of you who are connected to me on FB have already seen, but the preliminary diagnosis is metatarsalgia and he ordered an MRI. One possibility mentioned was Joplin's neuroma, which is apparently pretty rare. Of course. The results of the MRI will help with determining whether or not I can dance in my routines in June. So I'm trying to get it scheduled ASAP.
Hi friends....not much brewing in my own world, which isn't a bad thing. Remember my friend who was getting catfished? Yeah, she's going on all of these dates with real losers and I cannot understand her logic. It feels like her only dating requirement is "do you have a pulse?" As of late, there has been a guy who has a panty hose thing and wears them all the time and has over 200 pairs. A guy who has been on probation for 14 years (with no time off of probation). A guy with multiple kids (with multiple moms) who "can't drive right now." Seriously, wtf??
I'm "breaking up" with a client, currently, and it's heartbreaking because we just can't meet her needs because they're too great. I tried everything I could to find her "hook" but I couldn't and she just can't do what we need her to do. We talked for a long time yesterday and she feels like a failure, but it's truly not her fault. Mental health stuff is no joke.
I think I'm going on a date in the near future with a guy my friends know. He seems witty, so we shall see.

13 hours. It's been bonkers. I was fine getting there but coming back is rough. I got back late last Thursday.

I'm just doing the countdown. I'll be married four weeks from tomorrow. Holy crap! We are just working on last minutes odds and ends. I am excited as we had our meeting with the caterer and the venue and I found out the head chef/owner is working our event. I just really like her so I'm happy she will be there.
OH! One other AWESOME frigging thing. You guys remember how I did Everest Base Camp after treatment as a big ole "I WIN!"? A good friend of mine heard a talk by Jim Wittaker, who was the first American to ever summit Everest. He was selling his memoir at the talk and not only did my friend pick it up for me, but she had him autograph it and he wished me a happy 5 years cancer free. HOW COOL IS THAT?

It's busy here, just trying to get through the FYE at work and the last days of school for the kids.
Not much else going on. I am joining the mentor program at work. I am just waiting for word on who was chosen to be my mentor. My supervisor suggested that I possibly consider moving into supply chain as my next step in my career. She said with my personality and research skills, it might be a good fit. It wouldn't happen for a year or two. Also on my plan is potentially getting green belt training.

I've been in supply chain for the entirety of my career. Feel free to let me know if you have questions, too! SaveSave

Thanks! I will let you know. I am still figuring out my path here, but I might shadow in supply chain to see if it's something that I am really interested in. I can do it on the A&F side in two ways--on the customer side or on the location side. Might see what both are like.
