How many of you go for sports massages and/or osteopathy/PT?
I'm finding that my ageing body is getting sore quite regularly and more over time. Definitely not something I'm used to - used to be I'd get sore for about a week of new workouts and then fine after that - this is not happening now. Considering going to the local osteopath who also does sports massage.

I try to get a massage once a month, but sometimes I have to skip a month. My shoulders are very tight, and massage helps a lot. It also helps my legs if they're particularly tight.
I don't, but I definitely find that doing mobility/stretching and using foam rollers and lacrosse balls right after a workout are super effective in reducing soreness. I mostly do Crossfit so I end up using lots of different muscles that get sore easily because of how infrequently they're used.
So basically, yes, sports massage will probably help with recovery (there's a reason elite athletes are always having their bodies worked on), but there's also a lot you can do for yourself on a daily basis.

I go to an osteopathic dr. It's the best! I don't really go routinely, but the minute something is wrong I call him. I've also been to chiropractors and massage therapists, but I find this works best for me, especially the dr I've been seeing.

Massages are fairly affordable in my area, so I get one every week. I feel like it helps prevent problems and I haven’t had as many foot issues as I’ve had in the past.

I go for an extreme deep-tissue massage every other week. My main physician is a manipulating osteopath (not all in the US are) with a specialty in sports med and kinesthetics. He's fantastic, but NOT cheap, so I only go to him when I'm really suffering and all the usual solutions aren't working. (Like, we're talking a month's groceries expensive, and we're in a HDHP)
I have literally never seen a PT (for myself, I mean.) I find that the massage is usually enough to keep my shoulder in decent working order. For now, at least.
