Weekend was good!
Didn't do much Friday. Saturday we ran a bunch of errands including picking up my wedding band (SQUEE!) and then went to the bike race as the weather held off.
Sunday was fun. We bought a bunch of kitchen magazines, poured a bottle of wine and snacked through a cheese plate. We ripped out the pictures that spoke to us and made comments as to what we liked. We then taped up all the pictures on an empty wall and really honed in to the themes we saw. It was super helpful!
Whhyyyyy is it Monday already? I need a nap...or more coffee...or both!
Friday I had a date, that I thought involved lunch, but alas it did not. He's a friend of my friend's friend. We'd been texting during the week and I was open to seeing what might happen. We ended up having a drink and talking, but he was very clear that he doesn't want to be in a relationship. He did say he occasionally missed having a relationship, but then listed the reasons as "it's nice to have someone clothes shop for me and buy groceries."
Saturday I ran errands, mowed the lawn and then had dinner and went to Avenue Q (again) with my friend and her sister. We had talked about going out, but my friend didn't feel good, so I was home before 10 PM. Sunday I did house stuff and then went to see Tony Hoffman speak about his battle with addiction. It was really great!
doriswe boo to that guy. Ugh. I'm glad he was honest about what he wants. He still should've fed you though!
Friday night I went to an outdoor showing of Coming to America. It was so much fun! Then my friend and I went out for drinks afterwards and she got to meet one of the bartenders who flirts with me.
Saturday I went shopping for rigid-soled shoes. I basically went to Nordstrom and the first salesperson who asked if I needed anything got my "help!" and he sat me down and brought me tons of options. I ended up getting two pairs of sneakers that I don't hate. They're vaguely cute but even better is that they're comfortable to walk in. I ended up being to rest and ice my foot after all of that, though. Saturday evening I ended up meeting up with a guy I matched with on Bumble. I can't tell his intentions yet, but we had a nice time together.
Yesterday I got a massage. SO needed. Then in the evening I saw the tattoo artist I used to date. I went over for dinner, we fooled around, he invited me to sleep over, and this morning we started things off right. I don't know if it will end up meaning anything else, but it was a nice time regardless.
Hey! I'm about to start my mental health half day, woot! With another round of estimates from a different contractor (kitchen floor, whole house painting, plus a bunch of other random things we need and don't feel like doing ourselves).
After that, I plan to skip off to the barn and relax and not do much else. The mandatory meeting that canceled my plans for a full day off went exactly as predicted - the meeting organizer needed a whipping boy so they could go tell someone else that the project was delayed through no fault of theirs (It's not my fault either, but somehow our technology group never gets the blame for holding things up). And the fact that the organizer scheduled a mandatory meeting when my calendar had clearly been marked out of office is a perfect summary of why I need a day off in the first place.
I’m in immigration purgatory right now. USCIS is all about denying petitions or delaying making a decision. I just read a decision on a recent denial that has me shaking my head. I still have to figure out how to fix it, but I’m not sure it can be done.
This is Indy 500 week. My neighborhood is going to get busier each day. I always enjoy the people watching, but I’m feeling kind of “meh” this year.
Weekend was okay. I need my alone time, but with family over to visit my dad that never happened. Thank goodness I have an office with a door that closes!

Ugh, that sucks, chalupa. I hate when people pull crap like that. doriswe, sorry the dude was a dud. bullygirl979, I hope you share lots of pics during the remodel!
I worked all day Friday. Saturday, DH and I went to a distillery with a friend, then saw Deadpool 2, then went to my CW's housewarming party. I didn't like DP2 as much as the first, but DH thought it was good. It was more like a typical superhero movie, in my opinion, and I don't really like superhero movies. Sunday, I planted my peppers and tomatoes, and then I picked up the same friend from the distillery, and we went wine tasting! It was really fun. I taught a private lesson and a class afterward, too.
I'm excited...I bought some local organic strawberries on Saturday, and I'm going to make strawberry-infused liquors for Christmas presents for friends. I'll get it started now so it has lots of time to infuse. I want to do some cherry and maybe some peach, too, when those are in season.

Weekend was good, but busy. I had to work Saturday morning. Then I went to my hair appointment and met up with my friend for a thrifting excursion. Yesterday was super mellow, did yard work and played.
Wknd was good. Friday stayed in to catch up on my sleep. Saturday AM I worked a few hours and then came home to a lovely surprise visit from my niece and 1 month old great nephew. This little guy is sooooo stinkin cute.
Sunday I got up early and went grocery shopping and then came home and cooked up a storm for the week. Then I went to the MN Lynx game with my mom. We had a blast even though they lost by a buzzer beater.
Today is dragging and it is muggy and dreary so all I want to do is nap.
Weekend was was great. Saturday was a boozy 5am at the pub to watch the royal wedding, FA cup final and then a Braves game. Sunday was fun too a friend moved to my side of town and I ran into him and his partner. It’s nice to have friends in my ‘hood. Went and tailgated at the soccer match.
Monday is rough. I knew my new company was in a rough patch but got some news that it’s worse than I thought and half the staff will be let go. I’m wondering if this is a sign to make a go at starting the business my H and I were talking about. It’s all really surreal.
