So on a whim I tested today at 9dpo and it was positive. I am trying to stay calm. Any help from those with experience with PGAL would be so super helpful.
Update: so in order to get in for an early ultrasound I have to do serial betas because they want to bring me in when my hcg is around 1500 as that is when you can see something on ultrasound. First beta was yesterday and was 210 progesterone 16.8. Go tomorrow and Saturday. Hoping it doubles. Thanks for the continued thoughts and prayers.

Eek! Congrats!
I was always a bundle of emotions, excited but worried. I also tried to remind myself that there wasn't anything I could do and to try not a stress (yeah right!). Do you know if your doctor will do any early testing or u/s? My doctor knew my history/PGAL anxiety and so the last few times I've had early appts with u/s (around 6ish weeks I think) I know some people get betas drawn but I've only done that once when I was seeing the RE.

WOOHOO!! So many congratulations!! Praying for a very happy, healthy, and uneventful 9 months!!
After my first loss, my OB did betas and brought me in for an early ultrasound after I had been spotting for a week. Saw a HB but we did lose it 3 days later at my normal appointment (which should not have been a surprise because the betas were a roller coaster and baby was a little behind). Saying this because all of this extra monitoring did help.
With C, I had already been seeing a RE so she did betas (along with progesterone PIO prescription and baby aspirin), ultrasound at 6 weeks. My OB saw me as frequently as I wanted so...8, 10, 12, 15, 18 week a/s, and 20 week appointment. Then they got less frequent as I was feeling him move.
With L, RE did a 6 week u/s, OB did 8, 10, NT scan at 12, 15, 19 week a/s (which I had to have further follow up on). This one was more of a standard protocol pregnancy outside the RE (also did PIO and baby aspirin again). My OB treated me more like a normal patient vs one who had PGAL since I had had a normal pregnancy.
Hang in there! PGAL is SO hard. It will get easier though as time goes on!
Sending so many positive thoughts and prayers your way! I had betas drawn when I was pregnant with G because of our previous two losses. I had a lot of anxiety but it got better after I made it to second trimester.

Thank you everyone. I am going to try for an ultrasound at 6 weeks. I think I am going to skip the betas though. I did it last time with my miscarriage and it was more stress than it was worth.
So many feels. My sister is pregnant too, 3 weeks ahead of me. Hoping we both have sweet take home babies to share together.
katespade thanks for checking on me. Got a positive on a digital so my hcg is over 50. I need to call the doctor tomorrow or Wednesday and see if I can get an appointment for an early ultrasound.

How are you doing?
That’s great news! I hope they’re able to get you in for an early ultrasound. 😊
I’m doing okay. Nauseous and bloated and crampy and anxious and both ready and not ready at all for my first appointment next week. I feel like I won’t really believe it’s real until we get through that first appointment successfully.
