I went to my house. I cut grass on Sunday, proceeded to sit around looking like a freak with my eyes swollen shut, and ate nothing. Monday, I looked a little more human and went to Walmart for some draws (haha) and got Chipotle.
Then proceeded to sit back on the couch and do nothing all over again. Except watch Southern Charm New Orleans all day.
Not a single grilled item went into my mouth this weekend and I'm kinda pissed about it.
Oh, and I yelled at my kid last night for being a procrastinator.

I was off Thursday through today, which was nice. I was busy, so I'm still tired. But I bought a new car on Thursday, ran errands on Friday, went to my sister's for a bbq on Saturday, put together my IKEA furniture on Sunday and did a top to bottom cleaning of my house on Sunday. I could really use another day off.
freedom, short weeks are the longest ever. I thought today was Thursday and had a major freak out moment because we're having a fundraiser and I have to bring hot dog buns. I was plotting how I was going to get 80 buns into the office before lunch today. It's tomorrow. And I hope I don't forget them tonight because it'll be freak out #2.
Weekend was fun, we got together with some friends and played bags. I unfortunately worked some of the Holiday but I figure it's extra money for our upcoming vacation. I was able to show up to the tail end of a BBQ at our local park hosted by our county's Democrat group.
I made pulled pork last night to make up for my lack of Memorial Day grilled foods. I also think DS is starting to have some FOMO. He used to go to bed with no fuss and would go straight asleep, now not so much.

How old? Mine was the same way when she was younger. Hell, still is a little bit!

He's 18 months old. He has a speech delay so he unfortunately isn't able to communicate what's going on in his head either.

I’m exhausted and still trying to catch up from the long weekend. I’ve typed this post a few times and it’s been eaten.
My oldest puppy won his dog show and is officially an AKC Champion. Not bad for a rescue!
Then we had day 1 of 2 of CLEAN-UP-THE-HOT-MESS-GARAGE. I need an even stronger word than exhausted. I also wondered if garage clean up would be a valid reason to divorce. Kidding. But it was very intense for a moment.
Saturday, my daughter and her kids came over to help with re-finishing & stringing the clothesline. Fun, power tools, girl talk and more hard work. One of the final projects to finishing up the yard for our 15 year anniversary party at the end of the month back there.
Next up, worship.
Final day of garage cleanup on Monday.
Now I need to pull myself together to on to more job searching...
childofhiphop I feel your pain. DH and I have been working our way slowly through the house doing a drawn out "spring cleaning".
What kind of pup do you have that won the AKC championship?
Wishing you the best with the cleaning. I’ve broken it down into mini projects because life is just so dang busy and there is only so little time on the weekends.

So busy! It also doesn't help DH and I don't have any days off together!
Also, your pups are gorgeous! I've always wanted a big dog but DH prefers small dogs so we settled for a medium sized dog! The shelter told us he was a terrier mix but I'm almost positive he's got some pit bull or something stocky in him.

And since we're sharing, here's a pic of Rocky.
I love Rocky! Look at that face!!! So much character!
My DH has never had a dog before in his life. We discussed getting one and I brought home Doc. He said, “Did you have to get the biggest one you could find?” I didn’t have the heart to tell him that he would get bigger. But he fell in love. He says he’s still not a dog person but he’s a great-Dane person.
Until last night, when someone’s dog got loose and we chased it down the street and held her until we found her owner. He said “I so glad we caught her so a car didn’t hit her and found her owners.” Im thinking mostly “dog/animal” people say stuff like that. Whether he admits it out loud or not he’s become an animal person.
