Where my grads at this week??? It’s going by quickly here!
I’m struggling to find work clothes. Regular tops are reaching end of life, but my maternity stuff from last time, absent one pencil skirt, are way too big this time. Ugh. I’ve bought and returned basically everything at ON/Gap. I ordered a few dresses from Nordstrom this morning, and I’m loading up a cart at Macy’s right now, while eating lunch. Harrumph. H is going to be sooooo happy when he sees these charges in Mint. 😆
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.

I had my day 3 and hysteroscopy last week in prep for a FET later this summer and everything came back good, which is a relief.
We went to Maine for the long weekend, and while it was chilly (40s/50s) we had a good time for the most part...
...except that DS is turning into a bit of a toddler monster, sigh. I think he is a tad behind in terms of verbal communication (pedi says he's fine, just what I've observed at daycare and here), but he's clearly frustrated and is now prone to tantrums. He does this bratty but hilarious thing where when he gets mad he pushes whatever is in front of him and grunts really loud then looks at me with a stone-faced "I'm very angry!" look. It takes all my composure not to laugh at a 20lb nugget trying to exert his power, but I know its not going to be funny forever.
I'm here. Filling out immigration forms and trying to get the car registered. We're getting some weird looks with these Texas plates, haha.
H arrived on Thursday and I've been having a lot of complicated thoughts since. I'm obviously glad that he was treated pleasantly at the border, and that we only encountered the hassle of extra paperwork for the car, which we had anticipated. But I think it really drives home how different our experiences were, and how pivotal a moment it was in 2016 when our family was effectively separated. I realise it pales in comparison to what's going on currently with migrant children in the US, but my DD is SO happy to have her papa back and I'm becoming more and more bitter that he ended up missing out on so much of her first 2 years.
Mushe, I had a hard time finding maternity clothes for my short torso and smaller frame. Hope those Nordstrom dresses work out!
Mushe, I don't know how someone your size finds maternity clothes. I found everything runs ENORMOUS, and I had to buy everything in size XS (I am not a size XS, lol). For someone like you who is actually super tiny, it must be impossible!
My eye is nonstop twitching and driving me nuts. Is this a pregnancy thing? Or am I just stressed, lol.
I was directed to travel again this week, but all signs were pointing to the purpose of the trip getting delayed. Yesterday, less than an hour before I drove to the airport, I finally got approval to back out of the trip. Thank goodness I booked the late flight or else I would be sitting in AZ right now with nothing to do. Looks like I will have to go next week instead.
My baby has tooth #7 coming in. I thought these things came in pairs but they have been coming one at a time, each one taking weeks. It's been trying. She was such a happy baby before all this teething mess.
She figured out the sign language for "eat" and will sit down in the middle of the kitchen, doing the sign, screaming "eeee, eeeee". Adorable really, and so nice to actually know what she wants. And boy does she love to eat.

Hey all. S had her eye surgery today. I kept it mostly together But lost it in recovery. She was so miserable. She’s doing much better this afternoon and has slept a lot today. Bad news is we have to put ointment in her eyes twice a day.
We decided to start iui again next month if our travel schedule works or start in July!!! I’m ready!!!! It took me a while but I am now 100% ready to be pregnant again. Now I have to deal with all the IF emotions again 😥
Physically, she seems to be doing well. Emotionally she's still fragile. Sleep is up and down but overall getting better. We got a copy of her CT scan and it was a bit shocking to see exactly what they did. I'm looking forward to the doctor explaining it more thoroughly next week.
poor sweet E! You are doing such a good job, thoseareradishes. Hope things continue to improve. Huge hugs to you, starryfish! I imagine you had this flood of relief and your emotions just overcame you. So glad it went well. mpc, glad you didn't have a wasted trip to AZ! Sorry that you have to deal with a teething baby :/ I liked your post because I am glad your family is finally back together, loira. I am sure it is going to take some adjusting though, and you guys will have a lot to sort out. enjoy your shopping spree, Mushe! Very well deserved after all you have gone through to get to this point, if you ask me! glad everything looks good for your upcoming FET scm1011! Sorry C is being a jerk though. (but I did lol picturing him being all pushy, haha)
S was sent home with a fever yesterday and I had to put my foot down and make G get him rather than me. He was so frustrated to take time off work and I was like, YES, I have used over 80 hours of PTO since Jan 1 to deal with various sick days. He seems to be feeling better though, but had a rough time falling asleep last night (took 2 hours!)
I really enjoyed having a 3 day weekend as a family and wish that all weekends were 3 days so we could have time to do stuff together, take time for ourselves AND get shit done, lol.
starryfish, how is S doing today? I hope she's feeling a little better. What was the issue she had that led to surgery? My friend's baby was diagnosed with esotropia yesterday and she is freaking out about needing eye surgery.

Yes that is what she has. She crosses both her eyes and glasses were not correcting it.
