I'm doing well, my review went okay. There were a couple things that I thought were a little unfair, but I expected that so I'm not super upset about it. I do think I'm going to ask my boss to add one more employee comment (though I rarely add any comments). I think I should've been rated higher in leadership, considering that I am supervising multiple people, which is well outside of the scope of my job description.
My boss wrote something else into my review that I think is BS, but she got all wide-eyed that I said that as long as I know it's an expectation, I can try to do that, so I just need it communicated to me. It's like she's trying to make me into someone else. She definitely prefers her other direct report over me, so I'm not surprised. Just a reminder that by next year's review time, I need to be on my way out to a new job.
My building was out of water all morning due to a water main burst. Since DH and I carpooled to work today and he has the car, I had to carpool with a CW to a hotel a few miles away to use the bathroom. It was every bit as awkward as you would expect. Ugh. Let's hope I NEVER have to do that again.

I'm feeling a little cranky today, but not sure why.
As much as I complain about the old owner of the house, he did do a lot right with the gardening. Thanks to his planning, there is pretty much always something in bloom from spring until fall. I like taking a stroll around the yard on a daily basis to see what is blooming.
Thanks ladies. I've been here almost 6 years, my reviews were better with my old boss, so if I needed to try to show anything, I have reviews from previous years. I'm ready to get out of here, honestly. I just have some kids to get graduated and then I'm out.
bullygirl979 your gardens sound so nice. I'm sorry about you feeling randomly cranky today.
udscoobychick that sounds like an awful start to your morning.
I legitimately thought it was Tuesday this morning. I do not want to go backwards; I’m more than ready for the weekend.
I’m working on prepping our annual EEOC filing. This new payroll system is supposed to make it easier and it’s not. I need actual addresses for people rather than clients. So I am having to find an employment agreement for every single person and add it to my spreadsheet so I can properly account for people when I file our annual report. Even more frustrating is the fact that we have people at the same client with different addresses. I hate bad data and no one is cleaning it up.
tiramisu: sorry about the questionable feedback from your boss. Hopefully the rest of the day gets better.
I'm here. Got back from Dallas last night after less than 24 hours there. I don't normally work deals out of Texas but we have a team member leaving us so we are all having to pitch in. What's fun about it is that I get to reconnect with other team mates I don't normally get to work with. One in particular that I've always really liked was at the meeting yesterday so it was nice to catch up with him.
Despite this being a short week it feels really long. I'm attending a golf tournament tomorrow and am annoyed with my boss. It's a work event and we are big on people taking the time to participate in social/charitable events during work hours. Well, my boss knows I'm planning to attend the event and yet still asked me to cover a call tomorrow afternoon because she cannot. She knows I wouldn't say no. It just feels disrespectful of my time.
