Did your new GYN have any thoughts about the OPK issue? Could they do a blood test to verify that you aren’t KU? I’ve also heard that PCOS can cause OPKs to be ineffective, but I’m not sure if it causes the type of results you’re getting.
I can't remember, have you gone to an RE yet? DH and I started with the OB before moving to an RE and seeing what's been accomplished so far I feel like the OB was a waste of time. We've done more in the 2 months with an RE than we have in years with the OB. We were also told to avoid the OPK's as they often are not accurate and a waste of money. I have PCOS which is why they said to avoid those.

Hopefully you'll get answers soon!!!
I had to go to a new gyn for a referral to an RE. She wants to do the ultrasound and make sure that my tubes are clear and I don't have any sort of infection before she refers me over.
If the ultrasound isn’t covered by insurance you might consider waiting as it’s possible an RE will want to re-do it, but otherwise it sounds like you have a great plan in place. I hope you get some answers.

To be totally honest... I have zero clue. I should probably find out, lol. My new insurance just kicked in this month which is why we were impatiently waiting.
The easiest way to check is to find out from your GYN how they will code the procedure and then call your insurance to run the code to see what your coverage for the procedure is. Also if you don’t have infertility coverage mention that to your GYN and see if there are other covered reasons they could be running the test and if they’re willing to work with you to run it in a way you’ll get coverage.
Regarding the ultrasound: The RE got it covered and didn't bill in the insurance since that was part of the prelab workup.
If you need to have an HSG to check and see if the tubes are open you might find it's cheaper to ask for the "self pay" option. My first HSG was requested from my OB and it was billed to insurance (they denied it and I had to pay $750). I needed a 2nd HSG when we started with the RE a few months later and I called around since I knew insurance wouldn't cover it, my self pay option was $450. I also don't have infertility coverage on my insurance.
