Trends You Love / Won’t Touch with a 10ft Pole

I’ve been down the rabbit hole of YouTube all day. So what MU trend(s) do you love OR wont do.

I can’t think of a current trend that I love. Maybe bold lip? HOWEVER, I can’t get into the color highlighters.

I'm loving the glossy kind of natural but highlight heavy look, but not sure I can pull it off

I don’t mind colored highlights when they’re done right and not just like, I have a green stripe on my face!! I’m really loving the more fresh faced looks I’m seeing and less foundation. I love that lipgloss has made a comeback

I hate the glossy eye looks and those drips on lips ugh.

i heard on the radio that because of meghan markle freckles are on trend and that some people are getting them tattooed on. as a redhead covered nearly head to toe with freckles i'm glad to finally be on trend!!

Festival makeup and lots of bright colors are just not my thing. Highlighters that stray too far from natural skin colors and undertones will also probably never be my thing. I'm not up to date on the current trends. Oh! Also not big on filling in my brows much.

Right? I’ve seen very few examples of it not looking like random stripes aka punk rock 80s looks.

I’m so over the unicorn and mermaid everything. Also metallic lips/lip colors that are strange colors like olive and grey. I’ll probably never do a cut crease - it’s too harsh. I’m also not ever going to be a contour and false eyelash kind of woman.

I really like that a more natural look is in - letting skin look like skin, rosy cheeks, glossy sheer lips, fuller brows.

I agree with all of this, except that I do love unicorns. But I don't need all the unicorn-themed stuff out there, especially the bright, super-sparkly eyeshadows.

I’ve seen people put freckles on using self tanner too!

“Festival makeup” cracks me up.  Clearly that was invented by someone who’s never been to a festie!  Festie makeup = tinted moisturizer with spf, pressed powder with spf, waterproof mascara, and tinted lip balm with spf.  Also a refreshing tea tree mist, hand sanitizer and a shit ton of visine -lol.

Are you talking about the "glass skin" thing? I like the technique for the foundation and concealer but not the highlighter all over the place. And really it's about having good hydrated skin underneath it all.

Hey now. Set your crazy ass colorful makeup really well and it can still look decent by the end of the night! (My festie bestie and I go all out, makeup, rhinestones on the face ;P but for a couple day fest I'd ve reapplying, yes.)

I use to like Nikkitutorials but the glazed donut face, the filled lips and her eyebrows are a big no for me.
