It’s our wedding anniversary today. It kinda sucks we are apart but hopefully we are reunited next weekend. I plan on enjoying a glass or 2 of wine tonight still.
I’m taking apart some broken old furniture today to get rid of it. I’m not looking forward to doing this. Some of the pieces are so heavy.

Happy anniversary wineandcheese, sorry you guys are apart! Hope you can celebrate together soon.
Nothing major, DH is off on Wed so we're going to use passes we have for a children's museum. Otherwise typical errands/work/house stuff.
I feel like I am bleeding money lately. Most of it is house/baby stuff that is planned/budgeted for but it still sucks. I've also been a little casual with everyday spending, I need to buckle down more.
Chiropractor visit this weekend! YAY for that! I decided against going to my husband's show and bringing the kids this weekend. I think the December show will be a better option...we'll see.
We're way behind where we thought we'd be right now but.. Oh well. The playroom is totally cleared out, carpet gone, TILE gone from under the carpet, and the padding laid out. Now I'm starting to move stuff in there. We have so much clutter everywhere it's driving me nuts. I told H the rule is it doesn't come back into the living room unless it has a spot to go.
So once we get cleared out, H, BIL and FIL are going to tear up the rest of the carpet and take down the trim. Then hopefully I can start painting. Possible the painting won't start until tomorrow or I'll only get a little done today but oh well. We have all week but I wanted to get it done sooner! We're hoping to sneak in a movie later this week while the kids are at DC
It's my last full week of school so it's super busy. B's preK graduation is Thursday night so we're going to go to that. Saturday we will all go to my parent's to spend the night to celebrate my youngest brother's birthday and Father's Day. Sunday we'll get up early to head back home and then go to H's parent's house for a Father's Day BBQ and celebrate MIL's birthday as well. I hate having so many plans on the weekend, but I'm okay with it because the sweet freedom of summer vacation is mine as of next Wednesday. I have so many things to get caught up on.
H bought himself a golf club for Father's Day, so I'll just have the kids give that to him. We're not big gift giving people, so I'll probably just do a nice card to go with it. My father would like a fire pit, so I'm trying to coordinate with my brothers because I don't really have the car space to transport a big gift. Plus, I'm tired of being the only one to ever coordinate/buy group gifts for every occasion. I also need to get my brother a bday gift and my aunt a bday gift as well, since we missed her birthday this weekend. June is a very expensive gift giving month.
Happy anniversary wineandcheese ! Treat yo' self to some wine
We are most definitely bleeding money right now, HoneySpider . I feel your pain.
MrsMB Did they ever hire a replacement for the person who was terminated? Or is work just that crazy all day, every day
On Friday, they offered the job to one of our CEO's best friends. I'm trying not to think of the millions of reasons this could be a very bad thing. My boss told me in confidence that she felt pressured to hire her. She wasn't thrilled with the decision. There is going to be a major learning curve for her...so training her will be work intensive. So, I may not see relief for a while.
S/O Question: So, I got this most amazing gift for my boss' Dad who is going through Chemo. While she and I aren't the tightest (Hello, toxic relationship.) I couldn't resist the opportunity to do this for him....and also because cancer sucks. He's a super nice guy. This opportunity fell into my lap as well. I'm super nervous to give this to her for him. Not quite sure why....Maybe, because I'm not sure how to handle it if she gets emotional? I don't think she will, seeing as how the gift is more of his interest/hobbies than hers. I dunno why I'm being such a weirdo.
Today is our anniversary, too, and I took PTO so we can spend the day together.
I ended up sleeping on the couch last night because our mattress sucks and I’ve been waking up with awful back aches. I slept all the way through the night for the first time in over a month. I didn’t even wake up to pee, which is unheard of for me since my BFP.
H wants to go shopping for a new mattress today and call it an anniversary gift for both of us. I was hesitant to spend the money when we talked yesterday, but now that I slept so well on the couch I’m thinking our mattress is worse than I thought.
Soooooo... looks like we might be mattress shopping today. lol.

Because I hate myself, I had a happy meal for lunch. Lol. I'm taking a break and my stomach is currently making all sorts of noises. Probably because I haven't eaten a whole lot all weekend. Other than the noisy stomach and feeling a little weak I'm doing pretty well today.
At this point half the room has most of the carpet and tack strips pulled up, trim off and one of the windows taped. Hopefully I can start painting soon but then one of us (probably me) will have to go get the kids. The rest will probably go slower but that's ok. The only reason I'm in any hurry is because I'm not sure what to do with the kids when we don't have a floor or furniture lol. We'll figure it out!

Today: we walked to a new park! Fun to try something new! Likely having friends over this afternoon.
Tues: grocery shopping, a walk, and maybe the library. Also, having a glass of wine with a friend after bedtime...she has a FET on Weds for baby #3 so this will be her last horrah!
Weds: preschool/concert
Fri: play date with preschool families
Sat: Fathers Day with my dad...we will all go to the harbor. Dad, boys, and I will run while DH paddle boards. Having them over for a BBQ. DH might golf in the afternoon but undecided so far.
Sun: no plans yet but doing something to celebrate DH for Father’s Day.

Tomorrow I have preschool prep class with C, then after my husband and father in law get off work, he's coming to our house for dinner to celebrate his birthday. Pretty sure step MIL is coming too.
Wednesday I work 10 til 7. In laws are still coming around 8 to babysit so I'm planning on getting some organizing done around the house before work.
Saturday we have my husband's cousin's daughter's first birthday party. After that C is going to my MILs for a sleepover and we are going to FILs for a surprise birthday party for him. Sunday we will pick up C then visit my dad. Then whatever my husband wants for the rest of the day. He's taking the Monday after Father's Day off, so we're having a family day then. Not sure what we're doing yet, but as of now it's forecasted to be 90 degrees so we might go swimming or to the splash park!
I want a new mattress! This one was a hand-me-down from ILs guest room. That basically only H and I every slept there, but still, it was a few years old when we got it.
I had to work today and tomorrow, then off for the rest of the week!

If money weren't an issue, I'd totally get one of those beds that changes as you move or snore. It looks so cool and I'd love to try it! 360 mattress or something? Can't remember!

We definitely didn’t get one of those, but we did splurge on an adjustable base instead of box springs. I’m hoping that it’s going to be totally worth the extra cost when I’m farther along and can’t get comfortable in any normal sleeping positions. Also, I’m telling myself it was an acceptable splurge because we got it on sale. lol.

I'm a side and sometimes back sleeper and I still had trouble with comfort. I had a Snoogle, a regular body pillow just wasn't enough for me! It helped a lot!
Crap. ILs watched the kids this past weekend and MIL texted H overnight saying she was up sick. OMG. This bug is seriously the worst. I bought laundry sanitizer and will try to go around the house again to clean any surfaces to really try to get rid of it because I was the only one sick at the time and I didn't even go to their house! Ugh. She has lupus so she gets sick worse more easily. I hope she is better soon
ETA: well this just got even worse. FIL is sick too. He's supposed to help with the floors tomorrow and Thu but I DO NOT want that bug back in this house. Wtf do we do??? Ugh.
