HoneySpider estrellita- so, DH handles all the bills but I knew our utilities are cheap. I asked last night. Our electric bill used to be in the $30 range but is now $55ish because they have nearly double the cost of electricity in two years. We used to pay $75 or so at our old house but that was with a pool (we never heated it but it costs a lot to clean). Our stove and oven are also electric here vs gas at our old house (I HATE electric and will hopefully get it changed when we do our big kitchen remodel when the boys are older).

pooh8402 lol, I'm sorry. Lock the door! But we've never really been the types to be in the bathroom at the same time if we can help it, haha.

luv2rn4fun How?? Lol. We really do try to turn things off, we have mostly LED light bulbs, etc. It's probably our older appliances and the TV (especially when I was home more) but still. We haven't had that cheap of an electric bill since we lived in an apartment!

We have 2 entrances to the bathroom, and one doesn't lock.

Ah, gotcha. Well hopefully one day soon they'll leave you alone long enough to shower, including the dog!

I honestly have no clue. LOL. Energy efficient light bulbs, turn off lights/use sunlight where we can, tv isn’t on unless DH is home and usually not if the kids are awake, we hand wash dishes so no dishwasher. But we do have ceiling fans on until we go to bed in the boys room (we hardly use the a/c...maybe 10 days per year and never the heater), white noise all night etc. we probably do 4-6 loads of laundry per week. Most meals I use my crockpot and instant Pot but I think they are about the same as the stove/oven.

ETA: our house is 2100 sq ft

Ugh!! I went to leave the house and my car was making a funny noise. Turned around and came back home. Figured I would take my car to the shop tomorrow. I needed some windshield cleaner so decided to check my oil, even though I had my oil changed 4 days ago. Empty, no oil at all. The shop I went to is one of H’s friend’s shop. H called him and he’s going to come over tomorrow to figure out what happened. My landlord looked under the car and said the oil is coming out in the area of the oil filter so the shop screwed up. I’m beyond pissed!
