My husband and I are making a concerted effort to make sure that each conversation we have about "IVF/What's If's/WTFDoweDoNext" to have a conversation about something ELSE entirely. We don't want our relationship to be defined by our infertility.
I thought it would be nice to start a thread along that same line here....but keeping it positive.
Anything ELSE in your life you're celebrating this week? What are you feeling good about?
I'll start...another woman that works for me received a big promotion she really wanted. That makes three promoted women from my team this year so far. Turnover is hard, but being a part of their success is far greater.

woowoo, I think it's awesome that you are excited for your team members! You sound like a great leader.
I am celebrating this week that I absolutely LOVE my job. I love what I do, I am so good at it, I love my coworkers, I love my organization, and I love my boss (she is just the best leader and mentor and I want to be her when I grow up.) Every single day I know that what I do makes a difference in the world and it's a really good feeling.
Plus I'm getting a big promotion hopefully in the next couple of weeks. My raise might not be exactly what I wanted (and what my boss wanted for me before she got overruled by HR) but it's still a huge deal and my 3rd promotion since I started 4 years ago, which is a very strong upward trajectory for me. I'm even kind of proud of myself.
Happy it's summer, even though it is regularly in the 90s-100s here. I love sun and water and the pool.
I'm happy I'm on the day shift at work, although it's an adjustment for sure. Different personalities.
I had lunch today with a friend, who I hope will become a closer friend. She's a FNP so she's been kind of a mentor as I go through school. We discussed our work, school, kids, plans for the summer, IF (she saw the same RE I do, but for different reasons). It was great.
And my RE walked in to my appointment and said, "I have been thinking about you the past couple weeks. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out how I'm going to afford you when you graduate." Me: 😎

I am so happy this time of year. I hear spring peepers out the window every night when I go to bed. We have a nest of baby robins under our deck. It's green and beautiful and all the wildflower are blooming, especially the wild irises by the lake. It's just constantly lovely.
Congrats on the upcoming promotion seeyalater52, that's fantastic! And congrats on getting your people promoted woowoo. That's one of the things that I most enjoy about leading teams.

These are great! Truly, you all seem like lovely people.
We're having field day for the first time in 15 years. The kids are thrilled, so we're all pretty excited. I'm manning the inflatable water slide, but hope I don't get dragged down it. .
I go back to officially working in my old department after taking over for a girl on mat leave. The worst part of the whole thing was I didn't move my desk, so I got roped in to doing about 60% of my other job. So, yay for not dealing with that any more!
We are going to Iceland/ Sweden for two weeks this Sunday! So hype.
We're headed to Jackson Hole next weekend! It's a work trip for my H that spouses are invited to tag along on, so not exactly a vacation for him but should still be fun! I'm looking forward to relaxing and SLEEPING. There has been precious little sleep in my house the last few weeks.
Also, after increasing dissatisfaction with my career in the corporate world, I've finally decided what to do with my life. I think I'm going to take the next few years off to (hopefully) focus on family and go back to school and ease into a new career path that doesn't involve the bureaucratic nightmare I'm currently entrenched in.
